All that theory on the pros and cons of diversity are meaningless as diverse people and cultures are already there in the US, and in Europe too, and they are there to stay. So all one has to do is work out how to get along.
Anyway, interracial relationships are a step against diversity. So I wonder how diversity and interracial relationships can be an issue to one and the same person

Well you have to understand that, I am not necessarily opposed to diversity of the world. I find the diversity of the world to be a good thing. We can learn a lot from each other. But I don't believe we should bring diversity here. Diverse people trying to occupy the same territory has been the primary cause of conflict after conflict throughout history. To believe otherwise is nonsense.
As for interracial relationships. I feel like they are bad on multiple levels, and part of it is on the same basis as my objections to diversity in general. It causes division not tolerance and unity(despite what anyone wants to believe).
Basically I see nothing wrong with preserving world diversity, while also preventing our own country from being destroyed by the internal divisions caused by it.

Interracial relationships do not cause division. Hate mongers who can't accept someone can fall in love with someone of a different race and that race should have nothing to do with a relationship is what causes division.
It's 2010 people, and times have changed; I must admit, but does an interracial relationship still ring "TABOO" and in our minds. I know sometimes I'll see an interracial couple and I feel like they're looking at me to see if I disapprove, or is it just in my head?. I have no problem with interracial relationships, but I'm curious if most of the public still does have a problem. So I want to know people of City-Data, how do you feel? Please let me see your opinions.. White men with Black Women, Black Men with White Women. Asian Men with White Women/vice versa.. Hispanic Men and Black Women ... you get my point.. let me know how you feel?

I get no end of evil looks from Black American Males when I'm dating a "sister"......some weird racist taboo....
That goes for any man who believes he is entitled to every woman who happens to share his ethnicity. This attitude cuts across all lines, and is simply a sign of insecurity. Needless to say, white men have always been the most vociferous and even downright brutal when it came to protecting "their women" from the big black threat to white womanhood. Emmett Till comes to mind.

Incidentally, interracial relations were considered illegal in many states as recently as 1967. Alabama didn't formally take their laws off the books until 2000! Even still, there are actually some in power who still wouldn't think twice about treating interracial relationships as if they were illegal. Whenever I look at porn, the heterosexual interracial genre is definitely my favorite. Black women with white men, white women with black men...does not matter. So yes, still kind of taboo...but in a sexual healthy way!

As someone that has been a few interracial relationships, it obviously doesn't bother me. But I've always been attracted to "exotic" looking women. I am as white as they come (German-English) so almost every body is exotic looking to me I just don't get this mindset because each culture has so much to offer. It's variety and spice to life.
