All very positive signs.
Christianity is on a sharp decline in the U.S. Like it or not, Atheism/Agnosticism are growing, alongside the exponential growth of Islam.

Regarding the thread: remove "in God we trust" from our currency? Who cares. Face it, the only "God" in this country is the currency itself.

Ah God. If there is one religion I ABSOLUTELY despite, it is Islam. I dont want their numbers growing. Not even .00000000000000000001 percent.

Good point, though the height of Soviet repression of religious officials was during the 30's.

I think this had more to do with McCarthyism and "those damn Commies" than anything...

There was a guy who had a lot to say about that. What was that name again? Jewish, carpenter, long hair...

It was put there in the 50's during the peak of McCarthyism It was done as a ploy in a time of paranoia using religious and political propaganda. We always have had freedom of religion. Having it on our money simply offends the Constitution.

Good point. People get annoyed whenever you mention Jesus's name. Of course, Jesus told us that would happen.
