you deserve to get flamed because all jobs aren't good jobs, you think an IT tech making 70K would belittle himself to take a janitor job at 1700 Pennsylvania Ave making 25k?
I'm a techy and I would if I had to (and I make considerably more than the 70K you mention). I'm not too proud to do manual labor if it come to that. Folks do what they gotta do.
Anyway, since you operate a business, I have a question. During tough times, should a business close shop or take out a loan (runaway wife with a credit card) to stay afloat?
Or the better question would be, during tough times do you A) Spend money you don't have as quickly as you possibly can (runaway wife with a cc), or B) look for cost saving measures and try to reduce expenses while looking at ways to increase revenues.
Yup. As usual, the posters on the Right have a hard time not exaggerating everything. They seem to think only in black and white - if the government takes over partial temporary ownership of one or two auto companies then somehow they control ALL auto companies, if the government takes over temporary partial ownership of one or two banks then somehow they own ALL banks, etc, etc, etc. They just don't seem to understand the concept of moderation.
The fact is, the Private Sector has NOT been taken over by the government.
Ken
What's that you say, Ken? You mean Democrats aren't evil socialist communist fascist anti-christ baby-killing latte-drinking feminizing womanizing lying autocratic dictators?
BLASPHEMY!!
Stop coming up for air, Ken. Your brain is starting to think properly. We can't have that around here. Oh no, no, no! *wags finger*

LOL
Too funny!
Actually though, I'm not a Democrat. I'm an independent.
LOL there is no false dichotomy... the government is spending money we don't have at record levels while expanding the size of government when revenues are at all time lows. Where is the fallacy?

One can borrow money and cut costs at the same time. Furthermore, that you "answered" my question by changing the subject is yet another fallacy.
So, a better question would be; do you ever see the world in an objective manner?

Speaking for my shop, I put back enough to keep the doors open in lean times and I didn't over-hire my employees so I didn't have to fire anybody. So I don't need a Gubment loan to come steal my business from me with their 'imaginary money'
It's sad when you have a president whose NEVER owned a business trying to tell those of us who do run businesses HOW to run our businesses.
If only Obama was a werewolf, I got some cool hollow tip silvers for him.
