Basically what im trying to say is Pakistan wants to strengthen its influence in Afghanistan, because India are gaining advantage of Afghanistan, and this is what Pakistan does not want.
Pakistan is just trying to not get overrun by Al Qaeda.

There is nothing in Afghanistan to conquer, it's a wasteland failed state that's been embroiled in civil war for decades.

Well the Afghan Taliban is not Al-Qaeda, but the Pakistani Taliban have strong ties with Al-Qaeda thats why the government is trying to wipe them out.

I don't know what you mean by "gone," but he's in custody. Now that we have stopped torturing people, the flow of info from these guys has greatly improved.

What are we negotiating with the Taliban exactly? For us to leave and for them to take back control of Afghanistan? I know some of them are just fighting for the money, but are you saying that the logistical head of the group isn't a "hardliner?" Seriously, I am genuinely curious.

Unfortunately, our government and media fail to communicate this--instead, we are treated to "good news" of an endless succession of #2 Taliban commanders being captured. And continued support of the Taliban.
Poster must have his own political and intelligence resources.

If our media had any guts and independence, they'd be finding out exactly what's going on instead of parroting Pentagon spin puppets. Remember that it was only a few short years ago that Rumsfeld disclosed the existence of a military propaganda arm that placed false stories in the domestic media.

Yah, remember when GWBooosh found all those WMDs in iraq...oh wait...

Or those Bio Weapons..ooops...

Or Al Qaeda...(not so much)

puhleeez.
