Ka-freakin-ching!!!!!!!

How much creepier can you get? And how much more arrogant, to discipline the child regarding behavior at home and using webcam stills as evidence!

From the Education thread, the school districts response:

LMSD | Lower Merion School District Announcements

I'm having a hard time believing the original lawsuit for some reason. I don't thing the VP would have the "codes" or authority to activate the cameras and even if he did it say's it just takes a still photo so what would he have seen? Where would he find the time to even do it? Why would he discipline a child at school for "behavior at home" or even disclose that he had been spying by offering up a picture? This doesn't add up.

BUT...if that actually is the case this is insane.

Families learned of the alleged webcam images when an assistant principal spoke to a student about inappropriate behavior at home.

Boing Boing reports that according to details included in the Blake J Robbins v Lower Merion School District filings, 'The issue came to light when the Robbins's child was disciplined for "improper behavior in his home" and the Vice Principal used a photo taken by the webcam as evidence. '
Assuming this is actually going on, I'd like to see how anyone can even attempt to justify it. If this is accurate, it's not enough for it be career-ending for the people involved in this setup. This is worthy of much more severe punishment to say the very least.

WOW.

A better question might be why is he trying to see anything at all? That's just one of many questions that should be asked. Again, assuming this is accurate information, this is wrong on so many levels.
