Being a Republican Hispanic male coming from a family which majority is Democrats that has been to Tea Party Rallies with some of those Dem family members. To us it is not a just a Obama thing, we also have do not like the direction that Pelosi and Reid are going. I lived in Nevada before moving to Texas 6 months ago and my family resides in Calif. We think that they are going far to much to the left. My Dem family said they would be doing the same if a Reb. was trying to take the country to a far right direction. So the Tea Party at least in my family has no party affiliation.
More Tea Party rhetoric....why weren't you or your family concerned when GWB marched our nation into massive debt over an unjustifiable war in Iraq?
The problem with the Tea Party folks is that they want the rest of us to magically forget the 8 years of the Bush administration and the damage that his policies had on the nation. Then, they want us to believe that ALL of the current problems began on Nov 4, 2008.
The Tea Party spews anti-Obama hatred disguises as "anti-tax" protests, The TPers than don't see that for themselves are simply pawns in the bigger game.
A place where the anti-intellectuals can wave their pitchforks and torches, shout slogans and feel good about themselves.

I've been to the protests, and saw not ONE pitchfork or torch. And yes, I do feel good about myself. Good that I'm making a difference. Good that my voice is finally being heard (instead of ridiculed in the name of political correctness.) Good that this country is coming to its senses, and will get back to the conservative principles that we NEED right now.

They admit to having no leadership, no official members, and have no intentions of running a candidate in the 2012 election. What kind of party is this?
I'm pretty confident once Obama is out of office the Tea Party will effectively be dissolved as it served it's purpose of criticizing every single possible action Obama does and does not take, no matter how contradictory their accusations may become.
Which leads me to believe they are part of the GOP apparatus disguising itself as some sort of independent grass roots movement. Somehow the issues of taxes and government spending will disappear once a Republican becomes President?
Your problem is that you think the Tea Party Movement is a "political party"; but it is just a "movement" (Taxed Enough Already, T.E.A.) I is not a "party".
