As already explained, the Title II of the Civil Rights Act excludes private buildings, clubs, stores, services etc.

Of course you might ask the same question of a number of other religious institutions such as Orthodox Jews, and Hindus which hold sexually segregated services.

Yeah, when I was growing up, women on the rag weren't allowed to receive communion because they were unclean. This was Greek Orthodox.

Maybe these private clubs should have private security to deal with their private rules. It's odd that the police department would need to be called in to uphold their rules when nobody is actually "breaking the law".

I'm not a segregationist, I'm a libertarian. I feel that its someones God given right to discriminate on their own property.

If I own something, and I don't want someone there, for whatever reason, it should be my right to do so.

The civil rights bill should have stopped with schools, and other government run facilities. If its privately owned, then that owner should have a right to discriminate against whom ever they feel they want to.

And no, I'm not racist, I've got lots of black friends, Thats just how I see it. If a black owner of a factory, doesn't want to hire someone because they are white, then thats their business.

I guess this was self imposed abstinence from communion.

I can't imagine the holy men doing a panty check at the door.

Just another example of males asserting authority over women.

I'm not one to defend sharia and islam normally, but it's a simple case of tresspassing. Private property owners reserve the right to allow or deny access, and the police can be used to enforce that.

A private building... so why were the city police called to enforce the law of the Mosque on private land? Why didn't they have private security handle it.

The cops are there for the public.

Orthodox Jews, and Hindu women aren't protesting their religion, but the Muslim women are. They are tired of the men dictating to them in their religion. The Sharia Law is extremely misogynistic and they are fighting it as they well should!

By your logic here, then the police shouldn't come to your home, if you are being invaded.

Police are there to protect the peoples property. If someone is violating your property rights, officers and laws are there to protect your rights as the owner.
