It was never about bipartisanship. It's all about giving cover, showing a faux attempt. And then proceeding with reconciliation. That's been the plan for a month.

They are already discussing the fact that there is another bill out there waiting to be released that is more Republican oriented if this bill fails..

Republicans watching the clock - Live Pulse - POLITICO.com

Look at the clock. Dems are hogging, including obama's filibustering.

What an arrogant piece of work.

Republicans are watching the clock closely as Democrats have talked for nearly twice as long as they have so far this morning. Before Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn started talking, the time of possession was:

Democrats: about 74 minutes
Republicans: about 37 minutes

YouTube - Obama: We're Not Campaigning

Obama; we're supposed to be talking about insurance;

Yeah, they are, specifically YOUR obamacare bills.

Why did he need to be so snippy and pissy? Because he was reminded of how these bills came into creation.
That exchange goes to McCain. Obama did nothing to answer the very legitimate concerns about special deals...just got annoyed.

So, Obama tells the Republicans to basically shut up when they give their statement, because of "time restraints" ...... BUT then he starts rambling on and on and on after each statement. He keeps saying let's go through each part of the bill that we agree on, and not give generalized statements as to why you don't like the bill ..... BUT then, again, he starts rambling on and on and on. And what the hell else does he expect, I mean the Republicans had NO IDEA how this would be set up, what would be covered, and even who would all be there. They (the Republicans) set up their comments as they would if they were to debate this in Congress ... which seems reasonable. This whole HCR Summit is a HUGE ruse and photo-op for Obama, and THAT'S IT!!!! Say, "cheese", Mr. President!!

But that's NOT the FACT, no matter how many times you say it..

If government found a way to cover PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE instead of EMERGENCIES I guaran-freakin'-tee you it's be cheaper

So then you admit that Republicans railing against the bill because illegals are not excepted in the verbiage is simply a lot of hot air since illegals get covered anyway?

Good, we finally agree on something.

That you seem to think that this FACT indicates that all is well is frightening and at the very root of the problem. Treatable illnesses become chronic and terminal because of this... Uninsured get emergency care. THAT'S IT...

Then you go off and wonder, "Gee, why is our healthcare system so expensive?"...

It's the only way to NOT break the bank and obtain care.

I know dude, the NERVE of people for getting sick and expecting the insurance that they PAID FOR to cover their claims.... SHAME ON THEM!!

Gee, comparing the purchase of luxury items to emergency medical treatment now? Your analogy it pathetic.

Did it EVER occur to you that hospitals charge MORE for services because they are required to treat anyone who walks in the door regardless of ability to pay and that they most often eat the cost of treating them?

You're dancing around your own answer but are too blind to look at it... IF insurance did what it promised, things would be cheaper. IF hospitals WERE actually paid by the government or ANYONE for the services they render, things would be cheaper....

Costs are higher BECAUSE of those who DON'T pay. WHY don't people pay? A lot of times it's because insurance denies them. Sometimes it's because they cannot afford insurance...

Obama's plan covers a LOT of these things. You just refuse to connect your own laid out dots here and see it.

Already has had to walk back one of his lies;

The cost of premiums rising for individuals - the CBO did indeed say they would rise by 10-13% and obama had to correct himself.

Seems reasonable, how much time does it take to keep repeating the same talking points. When you have nothing to offer but wait another 10yrs, I guess they think it will be less costly then, how much more time would they need?
