The Haiti Government has declared the state of emergency is over. They are making donated relief supplies go through customs and are charging taxes on them. Medical doctors cannot treat people because their medical supplies are being held up. Homeless and starving people cannot get the help they need because of this. Hopefully the Haitian Government will come to it's senses.

Why would anyone want to have anything to do with Haiti much less control the government?

Ok, so they are now taxing relief supplies and donated food. Why is anyone surprised at this when everyone with half a brain could see it coming?

Another example of people with charity, time and actually doing something when the government failed. Surprise the government is screwing it up again.

Well that's the LAST time I donate money to a cause.
I'll stick to clothes to the Salvation Army, cases of vegetables to the food pantry and bags/cans of dog food to the Humane Society. I'm done with everything else and will write no more checks to charity.
