The way this congress and administration is spending money they don't have, there's 330 million on the brink of bankruptcy. How is spending MORE money we don't have going to solve that?

Maybe instead of trying to cram single payer, government run care through, the Dems could actually look at lowering healthcare costs.

Where are your stats that 30 million plus are one illness away from bankruptcy or death - I'd like to see those?

Ah, thank you. You could be right. It still doesn't matter. Democrats are highly likely going to lose seats in November whether health care reform is signed into law or not. It's better to push it through now while they still have the chance.

The idea is to spend less of the money that we do have for medical care. Pretty simple concept, really.

Well, there isn't any single-payer, government-run plan that's been written yet, so the chances of one suddenly being crammed through or whatever are probably pretty small.
