You are missing the point of what that person said. Your race is an unchangeable quality. The beliefs and convictions of an adult are said adult's doing and it is completely fair to evaluate them.

I cannot blame a person for being black or white, but I can blame them for believing in something that I consider irredeemably stupid. You yourself do it all the time in these forums.

Being prejudiced against someone because of their geographic background however would be on the same level as being prejudiced against them because of their race, I agree with you there. But it's one thing to observe a trend in certain races and geographic areas and an entirely different thing to assign that trend to some inherent quality and treat everyone as if they conform to it.

If you hate black smokers...well, you're in deep do-do.
And if you hate pregnant black smokers your dead

For most people, stupid really means they have another opinion. It has nothing to do with the intelligence of the target, but everything to do with the exalted opinion of himself held by the one who calls someone else stupid.

Boy..is that stupid, or what?

I never mentioned stupid in my original post in this topic. You mentioned stupid in your original post in this topic.

LMAO...since when is "Teabagger" a race? I guess people who hate the ACLU, ACORN or moveon.org are racist too. The difference is that people don't chose their race but they do have a choice on whether or not they join an organization. If you are fighting for what you believe to be a cause (like not paying taxes or "big government") obviously you know that people are going to disagree with you. Don't whine like a baby and call it racism. Fighting against the ills of racism is something many people sacrificed and died for. Please don't diminish and disrespect those who died fighting against real injustice (not delusions) by comparing the efforts of teabaggers to the civil rights movement or the holocaust.

That's the best answer on this topic <not sarcastic>. But it doesn't explain the feelings some people have towards people living in some parts of the country or who hold different social/political beliefs than they do. The example that most often comes to mind is how some people on the north east and north west parts of the country view people in the south. What was written in the words in the cartoon drawing nearly matches the feelings people in the north east and west have towards people in the south.

There is no way that is not an Onion cartoon. Nobody could seriously be of adult age and so intellectually infantile as to make a parallel between racism and the dismissal of a political group.

I don't even feel like explaining why that's retarded. I'm not convinced this isn't a bait.

That goes both ways. I have lived in the north, south and California and I can tell you that a lot of southerners don't have the most positive view of northerners or Californians. I am currently living in Texas (came here from San Diego) and I have know how some Texan's feel toward Californians and Northeasterners. Either way, there is no comparison to racism. I've heard Tea Party people say things about non-Christians and even call the president the devil or the anti-Christ. If they want to play victim, they need to stop sitting in their glass houses throwing stones.
