He might get re-elected in 2012, but I don't think they'll be any violence until the following month. On the 21st of December however, I'd expect to see some violence. Mostly of the cataclysmic variety. You know...volcanoes erupting, earthquakes, solar flares that burn everything in sight, people running down the road and then..BAM! They get hit with a solar flare and their clothing and flesh instantly vaporize so that they're just a skeleton with eyeballs melting out of the sockets by the time they hit the ground.

You know...That sort of violence. No rioting or anything the previous month though.

Let's see here.

Since Obama has ran for office the anti-government or right wing hardcore has committed at least eleven politically motivated murders.

They killed a Doctor in Kansas who worked at an abortion clinic.

Head of the Arkansas State Democratic party.

Three policeman in an ambush by a gun nut posting FEMA camp video's on Glenn Beck's website.

Two Unitarian Church members in their Church. Killer left note blaming "liberals".

Security Guard and the Holocaust Memorial. Killer had website establishing a Christian White Empire in the USA.

Three in the last few weeks with the plane Crash in Austin and the two cops shot dead at the Department of Defense.

And the OP is worried about the "brown people" rioting?

He shouldn't.

There isn't anything comparable to the vile and vicious rhetoric that comes from the right wing in America.

The loser crazy white males do the deed, but the right wing media provides the gasoline and match.

rioting has brought about much social change in america.
no reason not to think it will be attempted again. of course totalitarian government pray for rioting, it provides the excuse to do what they wanted to do all along.

If Obama would have lost in 08 I would have expected major violence. I think it is less likely in 2012, especially if unemployment is still at high levels. There will be less emotion on the pro-Obama side in 2012...a lot less passion and excitement. Few will get whipped up in a hypnotic "yes we can" frenzy.

Does anyone fear violence if Obama looses?

No, people said there would be violence if he won, people purchased guns and weapons in record numbers...and life went on as usual....as it will after the next election...

This questions sounds more like talk radio chatter...where they work each other up into hysterical frenzies feeding on their own fears in a vaccum....

And who do you think would of done the rioting?

Please give the general population more credit than that...I was out working amongst people when the election was called...and I don't remember hearing any talk of rioting amongst no one...not even a whisper of it...

The people I heard were resigned to get on with their lives either way....I mean if he won, fine, if not, well at least he tried...that was the attitude...

This rioting stuff really sounds more like some fictitious novel or something...

Could you define what a 'black community is?'

Is there a white community also?

And what are leftist? Define or demonstrate a 'leftist' thought or idea....

I think it will be worse violence than what we avoided in 2000. IMHO, if Obama fails to be re-elected in a close race, we could see massive rioting like what happened with Rodney King in 1992 with gangs of inner city residents rampaging through the streets, fermented by Jeremiah Wright types. If the police beating of a single black criminal can cause days of violence and chaos, one can only wonder what happens if a self-identified black president and former radical community organizer fails to be re-elected, the anger that will be present in America's inner city communities. I live in Baltimore and am very wary of this and in my opinion alone, I think people living in or near major cities should all be concerned about this possibilty. There are also radical socialist, anarchist, and hippie organizations that may engage in violence, on a far larger level than what we see whenever the World Bank, the G8, or the IMF meets.

I don't think the same people who burned down Los Angeles in 1992 or who rampaged through Seattle during the WTO meetings will just sit at home and do nothing if their candidate is defeated, especially if the race is close and the victor is white. If it is Michael Steele or Bobby Jindal perhaps this MAY be avoided, and even then that would be a HUGE perhaps.

No we are just going to take our kids on a lot of picnics , take in
some NFL...NBA..MLB games and do a LOT OF TAILGATE PARTYING
from a Californian AA...

I see the racists are flocking to this thread like vultures to a dead rat. Comparing a presidential election to the Rodney King beating is like comparing strawberries to asparagus. There may be rioting if there is cheating but if he loses fair and square, there will be no rioting. Personally, although I had my doubts for a while, I believe that he will be a two term president. Of course I am not a psychic and we won't know this until election day in 2010 but if the racists and tea baggers keep it up until then, I would be willing to bet that he will win. The ignorant biggots who still think that all black people voted for Obama because he's black, that he is not a US citizen, call him a socialist, communist and dictator are the ones that will get him four more years in the Whitehouse.
