Ok, I'm the last individual in the world to stand up for Obama.. But this is more of an issue with the government, not directly related to him.
But, indeed this is a sign of things to come if the fed govt takes over the whole healthcare industry.
Just think, we are losing doctors now due to medicare cuts, imagine what it'll be like if the healthcare plan passes and they get the further cuts they are hoping for..
You are correct. I sould have said i cannot wait until hussein obama and the majority of Democrats are out.

This will become the norm when the government begins administering healthcare for all Americans. What I find hilarious is that this administration says that fraud in Medicare is rampant, but is doing little to curb fraud. The government can't efficiently administer a Medicare program for the over 65 crowd, but thinks it can be successful when another 250 million are added into the mix.
Government price-fixing under Medicare is a major culprit for the spiralling cost of healthcare in this country,...starting back in the mid 1960s.
Physicians in Mississippi and across the country beginning Monday will receive a 21-percent cut in payments for Medicare patients, the head of the state's medical group said.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed a temporary extension by voice vote on Thursday, delaying the payment cuts by 30 days. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, asked for a similar extension by unanimous vote. It was blocked by Sen. Jim Bunning, R-Ky.
It's true that it was only a temporary extension, but even that was too much for the good Senator.
People seem to be jumping around all over the ideological map on this one... if you oppose government-run healthcare, wouldn't you support deep cuts to Medicare, so that the program becomes ineffective, and its users are pushed toward the private insurance market?

A "temporary extension" costing 10 Billion? I would seem that Mr. Bunning only asked that the congress show how it would pay for the "temporary bill".
One may suppose the question was too difficult to answer.

Bunning is following DEMOCRATS bill of paygo.. PERIOD.. This sights the reason why paygo was a total failure. Temporary or not, it NEEDS TO BE PAID FOR.
So while liberals sighted the passing of PAYGO as an example as to Democrats being financially responsible, this shows that they arent. At the first chance they want to violate their own rules and just spend without allocating funds..
The American Medical Association said that starting Monday, the 21% cut will force doctors to "consider the difficult decision to limit the number of Medicare and TRICARE patients they see in order to keep their practice doors open."
Your going to see State funded hospitals take the brunt and start collapsing.
Your going to see long waits for care.
I agree, if we can't afford it, we can't afford it.
Proves the government can't stay afloat, when the entitlements pay out more than they take in.
Spreading the wealth, creates two classes. Those that have and those that have not.
When you have more that have not, than have, what are you going to spread?
Supply & demand!
The demand is going to go way up, with the supply going way down. As with anything, you cut prices, service & quality go way down. Your going to see more and more hatred for government.
We are heading back to what we got away from England for.
Government in the USA was not created to take care of the people. The people were left to take care of themselves, free. Only civil laws of mankind existed.
Government has stuck their noses, where they don't belong, for too long.
Republicans must be happy. I know it is only 21%, but it's a start.
Oh, wait, they are not happy. Now that medicare is being cut, they rise up to support socialism. LOL. Too funny.
Get you own freaking insurance!! What happened to personal responsibility?
So the gov't steals peoples' money for 40+ years, then you ask for the victims of this theft to not stand up to get at least some of their money back or at least allow them to opt out of medicare? I suppose you advocate for a mugging victim to stay silent and not try to get their money back from the suspect.

Exactly. We have plenty of excellent health insurance companies out there. Seniors just need to buy their own insurance. Why should taxpayers subsidise them?
Either we have a public option for everyone or not at all.
