If Cheney wanted to run for president, he would have done so in 2008.

When total disapproval reaches 55%, the door is wide open for anyone who is not BO.

People wanted jobs. Democrats wanted Obamacare. He won't get a second shot at nondescript "change".

How do you know? At that point he'll have the exact same amount of senatorial experience as the current POTUS.

Thats what you are missing.

People elected Obama with that amount of experience and look where it got them. lol You think they are going to make that mistake again at this time where tough choices are going to have to be made.

Mark my words to beat Obama someone is going to have to be strong on economy/ money matters and be able to get the hispanic vote because Obama will have the black vote locked up.

I am sorry but I think your love for Palin is clouding your judgement like some Obama supporters let their love for Obama cloud theirs

Sarah Palin- that anyone would ever even vaguely think of her as worthy to be on ANY party's ticket is sad- she was mayor of a small town and quit as governor of Alaska- the only thing she is good at is primping for the media- she wouldn't run anyways, she has more money to make as a talking head for the conservatives-if she ran for anything she would actually have to talk about specific issues in detail instead of just using generic talking points-

I think the Repubs should make sure Palin passes a United States History literacy test before wanting her to become President. I believe every candidate that wants to run against O should be able to answer any questions without looking at her hands like a school kid.

If I had to choose a Republican canidate. I would Prefer Ron Paul/Piyush Bobby Jindal.

Whatever happened to that guy? (Bobby Jindal)

If we could be real here or a moment-- 30 months is a VERY long time in politics. We can't predict what will happen. There are so many x-factors. I don't think Palin, as of now, has a strong shot because her negatives are too high. She has passionate but limited support and even the most passionate of her supporters only vote once. Many presidents have a bad 1st year (Regan, Clinton) and many recover and some don't.

Statistically the incumbent always has the best chance of winning. I voted for Obama last time, and might again if some of his agenda gets passed. If not, I'll be looking for a more progressive alternative.
