good for him...clearly following Evan Byah's lead here, but more competent people like HFJ need to step up and show what an incompetent bunch of self-preserving a-holes most elected officials are

I'm confident we will see the triumphant return of Spitzer in NY as well

The Dems already have a perfectly good candidate in NY. Ford's campaign had no purpose other than announcing, "Hey, I want to be in the Senate."

^^^^^ this is why we see politics as usual every single election over and over

Regardless of party, stepping down simply because he doesn't want to be a puppet of the party pushing only policies the bosses feel are important is a great stride regardless of affiliation.

The politics as usual politicians win again, and people support it. Sad.

Apparently, according to you and Mr. Ford, being in bed with Wall Street is much more principled than being in bed with party bosses. And a real change from "business as usual".

Is this the same ford from Tenn. whose whole political family was caught up in what was called the "Tennessee Waltz".

His name is so trashed in Tenn. he felt he couldn't win in a state that his family has ruled for decades.

He couldn't win in his home state so he thought he would pull a Hillary and try and run in another state.

Come to find out his new state of choice don't want him either.
