Apparently their 7-year-old daughter Lydia was struggling with one of her homeschool lessons and she mispronounced a word. That might be expected since the girl's formative years were spent in Liberia. But the Schatz's decided that God wanted her beaten. So they did.

This is a horrible crime. Homeschoolers and christians everywhere should be up in arms over it for giving them all a bad name.
I support homeschooling but not an isolationist livestyle even if it includes "the church family". That is a recipe for trouble. I believe all kids should have a chance to be seen and evaluated by people outside the home, family, and social group. And a chance to ask someone for help. It's easy if they are in school, but even then there is no guarentee anyone will notice a problem. But the stay-at-homes have no hope if things go bad. Or if their parents are insane.

They are all too self-righteous to notice how similar they are. If the Christian and Muslim Talibans could agree on the proper name for God than all their differences would be cast aside and we would be in serious trouble.

Yeah I get the same thing when I compare the Democrats to Nazis and communists and I know there is no differance.
