The Government needs to be downsized to what the Founding Father's of Our Great Republic originally envisioned... not this massive and meddlesome tax and spend bureacracy that it has become.

Time to take these claim-jumpers to court!

We 10th Amendment advocates won't be denied. Since about the WWI era the high courts have stretched the idea of "implied powers" in our Constitution when interpreting "granted powers". Society has been set upon by the revisonist liberal progressive dedicant's assault upon our very system of governing. It's a slippery slope that is difficult to reverse, but that "original intent" of the very foundation of this republic, our Constitution and Bill of Rights, needs be recognized again by the highest court in the land.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Time to take these claim-jumpers to court! Indeed!

Silly fellow! Of course. They keep dragging old George up to lash him to the mainmast of the tired old Ship of State and administer yet another flogging...again. Hell! His sores from the last round haven't healed yet and they keep a-comin'. Wait until they lose both houses of congress in November. They'll probably keelhaul his sorry *ss! ROTFLMAO

My continuing and ongoing point in these forums exactly. These jokers voted him in, so they should not remain in denial of what he is. His "pattern of behavior" has established that "beyond any reasonable doubt".

And you know what, most understand now, just who they voted in, but cannot admit to it. They should be in denial, because they voted for a NEW HOPE AND CHANGE, and if this is what they wanted! they have asked for it.

Proposal to seize land would favor animals over Americans

A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job-creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that's essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.
President Obama could enact the plans in this memo with just the stroke of a pen, without any input from the communities affected by it.
At a time when our national unemployment rate is 9.7 percent, it is unbelievable anyone would be looking to stop job-creating energy enterprises, yet that's exactly what's happening.

story continues... DEMINT: White House land grab - Washington Times
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Continuing evidence of the penchant of the Oba-maniac to control anything and everything. Another "secret" memo for the administration that promised clarity and transparency. So how's this Hope and Change working out for you America? BUSINESS AS USUAL...that's how, except this time we have a Control Freakazoid at the helm of the Ship of State and from healthcare to the census, from banking to commerce, from free speech and opinion to the right to disagree...HE wants to be able to exert his tyrannical influence upon everyone. Boy is he ever going to be shocked come November! America has no place in it's government for despots. When Barack Obama told that crowd back in the Fall of 2008 crowd at a campaign event that, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig,", I'll just bet he was lookin' into a mirror!

This was posted last week to the list for the 4x4 club I'm a member of. Thought about posting a thread here about it, but decided not to. I'm glad someone did, though.

The problem with these types of laws is that they deem some public uses of the as acceptable, and others as unacceptable. I'm all for conservation of the land, as are most 4x4 enthusiasts, but when land gets certain designations from the federal government, that land - our land - becomes unavailable to us for our preferred outdoor activity. THAT is why we call these actions "land grabs," and THAT is why we fight them. It has nothing to do with wanting to develop strip malls () or not caring about the land and the plants/animals that call it home.

Let's just look at vacated malls and failed developments throughout the US.
Just because you can develop something doesn't mean you have to.

If you ignore the environment, maybe it will just go away.

Very short sighted and selfish post.
Since some of the rumors say the land will be closed to the public - yup, I'm being selfish. That land belongs to Americans.

Land grab? Aren't we talking about land owned by the United States?
