Taxes are lower under Obama's plan right now for the vast majority of people than they were under Bush. Where were these guys then?

Cutting gov. spending during an inflationary period where fed. reserve efforts have failed is a recipe for disaster, i.e., a balanced budget during inflationary periods is wrongheaded.

The size of the federal gov. is a done deal. It's huge and there's no going back to 1776.
It's quite obvious you have no clue what is going on around you in this country. The Tea Party is comprised of normal, middle classed people who are tired of high taxes and a crocked president who wish to make this a socialist country. The Tea Party are your neighbors, your relatives, your co-workers, all the middle class people who are tired of being pushed around.
Lucky for you there are smarter people around who will bail out your butt..!

For us younger folk, hearing someone call themselves a "teabagger" we get a little chuckle. I have to agree with a previous poster that its like parents need to think of all the bad nicknames before they name their child.

Really, I never heard the urban dictionary definition of the term until recently. If they don't care to be called that, I'll refrain from doing so, but understand that I personally never used that term in the sense that some of them are claiming.

Those people are incapable of "legitimate dialogue". They only know to assert whatever they've been told! That's why they're made fun of.

Sew solly!

In my opinion the Teabaggers are uninformed, poorly educated people with a chip on their collective shoulder.

Cries of creeping socialism are inaccurate.

Taxes are lower today for most americans than they were 2 years ago.

Granted, times are tough but the antecedents to those tough times are not taxes and the IRS and the size of government.

The original Boston Tea Party people were motivated by taxation without representation. These teabaggers have representation.

To me the Teabaggers are emblematic of the modern day tax protester: Irrational, deluded yet undaunted acting in purposeful ignorance.

Here's a better description:
What the narcissist is unable to work out through fantasy is simply repressed, put out of mind and kept from awareness. Beyond these, narcissists invent alibis, excuses, and “proofs†that seem [to themselves] plausible and consistent, and convince them of their continued stature and perfection.

These flimsily substantiated rationalizations are offered with an air of confidence and authority. As noted earlier, however, narcissists may never have learned to be skillful at public deception; they usually said and did what they liked without a care for what others thought. Their poorly conceived rationalizations may, therefore, fail to bring relief and, more seriously, may evoke scrutiny and deprecating comments from others.

At these times narcissists may be pushed to the point of employing projection as a defense. Unable to disentangle themselves from lies and inconsistencies, and driven by their need to maintain their illusion of superiority, they may begin to turn against others, accusing the latter of their own deceptions, their own selfishness, and their own irrationalities.
Theodore Millon, Ph.D., “Disorders of Personality; DSM-III: Axis II,†p. 168 (John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 1981).

There is no creeping socialism. The US is one of the most lightly taxed first world countries on the planet. The TB'ers have little understanding of tax laws, history or economic facts. There's no meat on the bone with these people...it's really delusion at work.

joejitsu, !!! ... Good Post In More Than One Way !

What I have observed of the so called Tea Party Movement & their ever increasing numbers of seriously dedicated folks are united to resolutely dismantle the current insidious debacale known as Liberal Politics in Washington D.C.

There are some folks whom appear extremely intimidated at these organized legions of Proud Americans and their demands for positive change in this blessed land.

And in final analysis regarding the Lefts name calling ("Tea Baggers") and such of these determined American Citizens ... it's appears to truly have made these folks even more united and organized !!!

It is indeed interesting to witness the beginnings of what may be an incredible historical event for dynamic political change in this great nation ... exciting times may well be just around the corner !

And in case some folks may have forgotten there are vast numbers of "Patriotic Americans" who dearly love America and are quite capable of expertly repairing the extremely "filthy and stinky" political mess we are all witness to today !

It's a great feeling to know that an organization of united "Americans" are on the move again and dedicated to a just and nobel cause ..... It's no wonder the so called opposition appears a wee bit intimidated and will resort to some really tough guy name calling from a distance of course ....

"Tea Baggers " it be then lads and by all means keep up the good work for by caullin this crew little pet names ... ye only makes em stronger still !!!

Lets watch this Tea Party group closely and hopefully the end results shall be better, yes indeed much better days ahead for the greatest nation and greatest people on earth... yes you know who I mean "AMERICANS" ................ Thanks / Lamar

Like it or not I think the name has been attached to the movement.

I think the only problem would be with gays that do not engage in teabagging or with gays that do not want to be identified by one of their sex acts. Teabagging is what they do, not who they are.

Maybe some gays could address this.
