I've found that people who hate Wal-mart generally shop at Target. Kind of ironic when you consider Target is pretty much the same store with the same product at a higher cost. Oh, and the people are better looking. Why spend 100 dollars at Wal-Mart when you could get the exact same stuff at Target for 120? And people wonder why the economy is in the crapper.
I go to Walmart and Target. If I can use one of the self-service checkout lanes and get out quickly, I'm happy with Walmart; if I have to wait in a long checkout line, it's an annoying experience.
Target's prices are barely any higher than Walmart's, and Target's environment is more pleasant. When I'm at Target, I'm happy to linger; at Walmart, I just want to get what I need and then get out as soon as possible.
I hate walmart because its full of trash, im referring to people, that smell like cigarettes and are incredible obese. ITs true though Walmart is just depressing.
I tend to agree, however I dislike Wal-Mart because it is the essence of what is wrong with consumerism. The hidden cost of cheap crap is passed off on those who can least afford it while the wealthy (and often fat) consumer gets a bargain.
Once globalism deflates and/or global wages normalize --- then we pay a fair price for quality products, I'll be happy.
Wal Mart is repugnant. I pay xtra and shop elsewhere just to avoid some of the human disasters who clog the aisles with their bio-masses, shopping carts and offspring.

Walmart-
1. Full of Chinese junk
2. crappy wages and no benefits for employees
3. Weakens US manufacturers by preferntially buying junk produced by offshore slave labor
4. undermines unionization of its workers
5. destroys small town buisnesses
6. Set new lows and baseline for labor standards
7. Undermines the concept of private health insurance by having many employees and families on public assistence. These redirects costs from the company to the state and local governments (us).
Anyone who shops at Walmart supports the above issues. Don't shop there, buy at local stores, and many of these practices will lose thier strength.
I hate shopping at the overcrowded Wal Mart BUT I make a point to shop there every once in a while because I love how they are winning the war against the union mafia.
The walmarts in Houston are usually pretty ghetto. But they are catering to the Mexican or Spanish speaking population here anyway. Just opened up a walmart with everything in Spanish and not English. I can't even go there, since I do not speak Spanish. Ever since I stopped going there altogether. They don't seem to want the English speaking part of the population.
