America is a Christian nation and all other religions are pagan.

That's EXACTLY what most other religions think of christians. All arguments about which religion is "real" are as silly as hashing out which flavor of ice cream is "best." Six billion people on the planet each have an opinion; all of them are right, all of them are wrong, and all of them have endless rationalizations and justifications for THEIR point of view. It's pointless, hopeless, fruitless to argue any of this and it's all the more tragic given that all religions are a collection of myths and quaint sayings to live by.

I never said that there is 100% consensus. I think it's safe to assume the overwhelming majority of those who are anti these issues have religion as a source. Even an Atheist who is anti-homosexuality might have had a religious parent who told them being gay is morally wrong.

No, the Founders formed this country without a state religion. The USA does not have an official religion.

I couldn't care less how many bible readers live here. I will still continue fighting for tolerance. If they like it or not, I don't care.

No, we are not. The US has no official religion.

It doesn't matter why anyone is "anti" though. Christian or otherwise, we are not a "Christian Nation". Sadly, for anyone who thinks we are, the population is getting less and less Christian by the day. Then, OH!, whatever will they do?

I would call us a Theistic nation. Our laws protect the free exercise of religion, and keep it seperate from the state, which ensures that one religious faction won't try to use governmental force to the detriment of another.
