Not so much idiots, as phonies.

When John Lennon and George Harrison were alive, there was direct involvement and supervision of distribution of relief funds.

Funds from the Concert for Bangladesh pretty much never made it to the populace. In fact, Live Aid was supposed to avoid the same mistakes.

The lesson is that its very easy and almost effortless for people to give money for a good cause. It is an entirely different thing to get that money to the intended group. George meant well, but even he could not move mountains.

Most Musicians, once in the major loop of recording, are told to "hush" about issues becuase it will polarize their careers and they don't wanna lose money.

only artists that break that mold are WyClef and U2..the rest are blah.

It is a very hard thing to go. To not spend the money on yourself or someone selfish selfintrest.

And i believe in giving money for a good cause. But in these cases, just how do we know where the money is going, to the intended group, or in what hands will the money end up, i often wondered about this.
