Sources tell CBS13 a state senator from Southern California was arrested for allegedly driving drunk after leaving Faces, a gay nightclub in midtown Sacramento, early Wednesday morning

Ashburn served six years as a state Assemblyman before being elected to the State Senate. According to Project Vote Smart, Ashburn has voted against every gay rights measure in the State Senate since taking office.
Yet again! LOL When will they learn?

You would be surprised by how many of these family value politicians are really self-hating homosexuals, junkies, and crooks.

Interesting. Although I can't lable him as "anti-gay" just becasue of his voting record. I hate the idea people have that you MUST vote for everything to show support...even if the bill is lousy or poorly written. But he is going to have some explaining to do that's for sure!

Most of these cases involve Republican men who have surrounded themselves with people who see homosexuality as something to be ashamed of. It's no surprise that some of them get caught in these situations. Just think - for every one who gets caught, there's probably at least ten who don't.

While the apparent hypocrisy is bad - the drunk driving in a state vehicle is worse.
