The right wing lunatic fringe would be hilarious if they weren't so sadly pathetic. Obama gives a speech to thousands of wildly cheering people and they claim it is proof that he is unAmerican and a supporter of Muslim terrorists. A few disaffected Muslim youth make ugly posters and throw shoes at the posters and they claim it proves that no one in the universe likes or respects our President. Sad and pathetic.
Oh yeah, the bloom is apparently off the rose abroad as well.
I think anytime shoes are thrown at a US president, it is news.
Of course, this won't get as much play in the obama media as the incident with Bush, but maybe when obama is giving his presser in Indonesia, a stealth shoe-chucker would be allowed in.
This is exactly right. What was news then is surely news now.
If I remember correctly, Bush was in the same room as the shoe thrower. The guy had a personal gripe with Bush as Bush invaded this guy's country illegally. He experienced the suffering and devestation that the invasion caused first hand. How did this incident compare to that? It didn't!

Well, considering obama is setting records on muslim civilian deaths in Afghanistan/Pakistan, I think that probably has something to do with the protests.
Very shocking, considering this is where he spent a good portion of his life.
