Used to be a time when some self-inflated revolutionary, got the wind knocked out of their murderous self-righteous sails when they appeared at the bar of justice like any other murderous SOB. Now, we take these folks and we declare them Enemy Combatants and they get a special trials before real warriors, and this is some how better? Since when are the likes of Khalid Sheik Mohammed to good to be treated like any other mass murderer like Ted Bundy, or Danny Rollings, or John Wayne Gacy?
Agree. By putting them on trial in a military tribunal it only legitimizes their claims. It also puts us in danger, by de facto recognizing them in a military fashion. By doing so, how can we then claim that the Geneva convention does not apply...
