Yep, by bringing the abuses of insurance company back to the front page it has reminded ordinary people what the stakes are. Up to that point Republicans had done a good job lying, obfuscating, and obstructing for their corporate masters but when people see garbage like 30%, 40%, and even 50% rate hikes per year then they know real reform must happen.

And I realize now that my comment shouldn't have started with, "How ironic." What I really should have said was, "Poetic justice!"
