I'm just wondering how Hollywood can pollute so much and get away with it. When I see movies that have explosions, car chases, etc, etc, etc, and you know they had to do it over and over to get the effects they want, you know it puts out tons of pollution into the air. Then the Hollywood types lecture the public on being green. OMG, LOL
They must have the feeling their profession is more important than yours so it is ok for them to pollute but let a refinery that is delivering energy to our city do it and it's something to be up in arms about. We don't ever have to go to a movie, we do need energy so we don't freeze.

Wow! Janelle, does your mom know you're on the computer posting nonsense like this?
So, you want to compare the pollution Hollywood moviemakers produce with the pollution a refinery makes. Really? Are you smart enough to understand the difference between the fumes from 10 or 12 car crashes for a movie and the 24/7 fumes from a power plant? Oh! I'm sorry! You're not! Do you know that a tremendous amout of those idiot movies with all the car crashes and that stuff that absolutely captivates you can be done on a computer? Oh. I'm sorry. You thought all that was real?
Sweetheart, get your GED. Really. Read something other than People Magazine. Then come back and post something that makes sense.
1101 what got your panties in a wad? Computers cannot do it all. Your post seems to be childish, look in the mirror.
Hollywood does not contribute one iota to our comfort, health or safety. Guess you rather go sit in a movie theatre to keep your behind warm and not freeze than have heat for your home. I don't and I am sure the majority does not either.
My mother died in 2005 at the age of 97 so I don't think she knows I am on the computer and I am probably old enough to be your mother. Go to bed now and calm yourself down.
LOL, just saw your profile pic. And you can stand like that until your mother tells you you can come back out.
Alaska takes about $1.80 out of the Federal collection pan for each dollar the state puts in. California gets about 80 cents on the dollar - and with the size of the Californian economy, puts much more into the pot in the first place.
In plain terms, California has been subsidizing Alaska for decades.
Tiny population, large military presence...yep, they're spongin' alright.
Some liberals just repeat the latest talking points. Thanks for really thinking that one through.
Have you taken time to check out Recovery.com?
The rest of the country is tired of subsidizing California's socialist experiment.

There may be OK reasons, but the fact of the matter is that the bootstrappy Alaskans are getting a nice chunk of cash for living where they do. And the oh-so-socialist Californians pay. So - deal?

"The rest of the country" could start by getting its hands out of California's pockets, then.
