Public toilets; FLUSH. You can save water at your own house but nobody want's to look at your pee.

Sneezing; I usually just step away.
Ha, "pretend to be enjoying their convo", that's funny

Vehemently agree with the second; sneezing, I'd say "Oh! My God," cover my own mouth and nose and turn away or walk away.

Cell phone in a Post Office -- possibly annoying, but not really my business. It's a public place. Though I might toss a sidelong glance at especially loud talkers.

Now, I do draw the line at when cell phone talkers try to both talk on the phone and to someone who is right in front of them, and I let an airline pilot know exactly how I felt about that when he came into my bar one day (back in my bar keep days), sit down while talking to someone on his cell, and literally (lightly) kicked me in the leg as I went by to get his my attention. He wanted to order a drink and his dinner while simultaneously talking to someone else about a baseball game. I walked away. He tried to read me the riot act but I wasn't having it and stood firm. I told him it was my personal policy not to take guest orders from guests who were on their phones unless they were asking someone else what they wanted to eat (in the case of to-go orders). Interestingly, I saw him again in my bar a few months later, and he THANKED me for calling him out on that. Thank God there are some people who are still capable of self-examination.

Anyway, on flushing, I don't know on that one. There are parts of this country (and I used to live in one in West Texas) that don't have a lot of water at all.

Sneezing -- you can bet that If someone sneezes directly on me they will hear about it. I am not an Adrian Monk though, and recognize that we all must sneeze in public at times.

Cellphones: Cellphone etiquette is an oxymoron. There is no excuse to use a cellphone in a theater. Unless you are the POTUS with your hand poised over the big red switch, you can move outside, or call someone back. My husband gets business calls all the time when we are out and about, and he always moves away from people so as not to bother them. I don't want to pay money to go to the theater or out to dinner to hear some yahoo talking on the phone. I have asked people to hush, rarely, but I have.

Bathrooms: As long as deposits are made where they should be and not all over the seat or bathroom, I'm cool with it. We had a bad drought in Atlanta the last few years, and when asking people to not flush unnecessarily, you would have thought the end of the world was nigh. It's just pee.

Sneezing: One of the first things kids are taught in preschool is no cover nose and mouth when sneezing, so there really is no excuse to sneeze all over some stranger, especially in cold and flu season. I will say something, maybe funny, but I'll still speak up.

i can not stand to hear someone else's conversation when they are on a cell phone. standing in line or not. most people dont talk to loud on their phone but there are a few that think they need to, my daughter and I were in a nail salon recently, not busy in there, we were waiting, the women's cell phone rang that was sitting next to us, she answered it, and then all of a sudden you would have thought she was at a rock concert, she was yelling into the phone having a conversation. I just sat there and stared at her, it was bad enough to hear everything she was saying, but then she started switching from spanish to english....so yes i would say something, and as far as if i am sitting in a movie theater, trying to watch something I PAID to watch, you better believe i will say something...

Sneezing-thats just rude not to cover your mouth, now if it was from across the room, i wouldnt storm over there and call them out, but if they were next to me i would...

I have NO problem telling them to "take it outside". Would you do something similar?

The other day when I was in a restroom, the guy in the stall told me to flush the urinal. "Why?, I asked. He responded that it was "publically acceptable". I have lived in several areas with drought like conditions and now believe, "If it's yellow, let it mellow, If it's brown, flush it down." That is why I don't flush the urinal. He felt otherwise. Is it wrong not to flush the urinal to conserve water?

I live in Michigan. We don't have many jobs here and we're all losing our houses, but we've got water like nobody's business. Sometimes I flush just because the water isn't blue enough.

Having said that, don't put alcohol or alcohol blends in your vehicle. Ethanol requires about ten gallons of clean water to process one gallon of fuel. Avoid the bio-fuels and flush 'till your heart's content.

I am in MN and we have plenty of water, for now.

Other states are eyeballing our water, up here in the Great Lakes region. Just an FYI. We may not have a surplus forever.

Guys, please flush your urine. it's super nasty, and it stinks up the entire restroom.

Thanks for letting us know about ethanol flavored gasolines.

according to the ettiquite guru's. . . it is rude to call attention to anothers bad behavior, in public. This pretty much covers all situations. It is not rude, however, to speak to someone in private, in the kindest way possible, about behaviors that others find rude.

Depends if you are prepared for some stranger you do not know to go postal on you.
