Nice (but unsuccessful) attempt at diversion from your own statement claiming "According to the poll, we are less respected now than 2 years ago."
That's simply NOT what the poll says. If you're going to start a thread citing a poll perhaps you should familiarize yourself with what the poll actually says?
Yes, according to the poll of Americans, they think we are less respected now than two years ago.
Take your complaints about this poll you don't want to see to the democrats who conducted the thing - Carville and Greenberg.
You don't like what it says - that's just too bad.
But ya know if you're happy going with American perception without actually asking well that's your right I guess..but I wouldn't be too sure that the rest of the world is particularly interested in Obama. He's not annoying the crap out of most of us the way that George did so I'd suggest that most of the world don't have a problem with him.
I didn't conduct the poll, just reported it, which seems to have hit a raw nerve with some.
A poll regarding American beliefs has meaning, whether you want it to or not.
I can understand why some might not like the answer, considering all the promise of hopeNchange and a new day dawning.

It hasn't hit a raw nerve that I can see. Most people seem to have seen it for the lunancy that it is.
Ultimately it's not really an answer.
The really unfortunate bit about it is that for the most part I reckon the world in general is a lot more optimistic about America and Americans BUT seemingly some Americans are too caught up in fantasy land to even acknowledge it, let alone enjoy it. Not to mention you've all been Murdoched anyway so I'm not surprised many of you don't know which way is up anymore.

Are you really unable to understand the difference between "we are" and "they think we are" or does your zealous Obama bashing simply close your eyes to facts?
YOU started this thread citing this inane poll, at least make an attempt to read and understand it.
A majority of Americans say the United States is less respected in the world than it was two years ago and think President Obama and other Democrats fall short of Republicans on the issue of national security, a new poll finds.
The Democracy Corps-Third Way survey released Monday finds that by a 10-point margin -- 51 percent to 41 percent -- Americans think the standing of the U.S. dropped during the first 13 months of Mr. Obama's presidency.
Americans "THINKING" it doesn't mean it's actually true.
While the poll is significant about American perception, it doesn't really say anything about world perception. Which is what you are addressing when you make remarks like "world's President".
You cannot make conclusive remarks about whether the United States has risen in world opinion based on a study that focuses solely on American perceptions.
