Anyone been called via telephone for the survey?
A friend of mine in NM said he was called and gave them the info etc.
I called US Census they didn't even know if they were doing phone survey..

I think it is a scam. I think the surveys are only mailed to a resident and or hand delivered.

You may be right, although I think there are surveys other than the decennial census that they conduct by telephone.

Yes, there are PSA commercials from the Census running on the radio saying not to give any personal information by email or phone - these are scams. The Census will only be conducted by mail or in person.

yikes.... but I dont think the Census asks for anything that could be really damaging.

The Questions on the Form - census.gov (http://2010.census.gov/2010census/how/interactive-form.php - broken link)

Maybe he'll just wind up on a mailing list..... hope that's all.
