People coming together at their local coffee joints, purchasing their own coffees and discussing politics like actual mature adults is spending you money how again?
Talk about not being firmly rooted in reality pal.
I hope for your sake your beans are decaffeinated.
are you just being obstanant?
these people are organizing around the idea of drivinng government policy.
if the intent here is driving policy to less spending then I wish them well...
if however their intent is to support progressive/liberal government policy....
their preference to coffee over tea is of no concern to me. As I said, I love coffee....
why in God's name would I think these people were trying to spend others money on coffee? wacky.

You sir, are the wacky one who suggested that the only reason they were coming together was to spend other people's money.
You were the one who began with how much you love a certain kind of coffee and stated that you believed that they would need to only drink a different kind of coffee than you due to partisanship.
If you haven't gone to a coffee party meeting yet then how could you possibly know?
If anyone is being obstinate around here it is you who started in on the name calling and assumptions of political preference and partisanship without even attempting to cooperate or even fake an open mind at all.

Why can't you just give something a chance? Is that too little conspiracy paranoia for you?
There's two of them close to home - one actually walking distance, even with my bad back - so I'll be heading out to one of them in the morning. I'll let you know what I find when I get back.
LMAO..I have not heard that in so long. I'm dark skinned and I had a uncle that use to tease me when I was growing up telling me to stay away from coffee because it would make me darker.
But so far I like this group and have joined. It is a mixture of both liberals and conservatives that are tired of the rhetoric and the sniping.
When is the federal government going to put a "sin tax" on coffee over the health issues it causes?
As always, someone off topic. Not about health issues here. That's a different thread.

Wrong. If you had clicked the link, and read, you would know just how wrong you are. Thus, not placing that post. Or would you?

But go ahead, and let me know if this group comes up with anything that conflicts with or opposes the 0bama's agenda or his policies, because all I think you will see from these hacks is just a regurgitation of the 0bama agenda.
Yet again, no reading. Just spitting.

dont like progressive politicis.
if coffee party is against wild spending and progrssive politics I am for it.
if this is just the liberal answer to the current backlash against wild spending, then I hope they end up drinking folgers!

Wacky indeed, you said it pal.
I quoted myself for your viewing pleasure.
Please note that I did not make any assumptions of political preference.
In fact, I insinuate that I do not know the coffee party's affiliation.
What I did say was that if they were (like me against spending then I am certainly FOR them and I do wish them well...in that case)
However, I also stated that IF they were liberals, I hoped they drank folgers.... cuz it is swill...
now if you can find an assumption in that, then you are far better than I.
I have been drinking coffee for over 40 years, and damn it, i am still light skin, have not gotten that nice tan from drinking coffee yet! maybe i need more cups in the morning?

Quit adding half n' half, then see what happens.
For a really deep tan, I use brown sugar for the sweetener.
