Please read this article and then continue to tell the average worker in this country that health care reform is unnecessary.

'My jaw hit the floor'
About six months after his emergency operation, Miller was scheduled to return to St. John Macomb-Oakland to have his colostomy surgically closed so he didn't have to use a colostomy bag.

But on the morning of the scheduled surgery -- Jan. 6, 2009 -- Miller and his mother arrived at the hospital only to be told at check-in that the operation couldn't be performed because of his outstanding balance.

Miller was handed a purple piece of paper with a balance that read: $31,910,348. He was later informed the total was an error. The balance should have read: $319,103.48.

Mark, why don't you write him a check then?

No? Why not? That's what you're asking the rest of us to do, right?

Or is it that you're IN LOVE with the idea of healthcare reform, but you're not willing to see that robbing peter to pay paul and cozying up with the insurance companies is not the way to do it?

Please, enlighten us by telling us how this man, and other macro situations like it, will NOT run up the debt or deficit?

Life sucks. No one said it would be fair. And no matter what Barack Obama tells you, life still won't be fair when he signs the legislation. YOU will be paying for this man's sad affairs all in the name of what? A victory for
Barack Obama at the behest of everyone else's paycheck? What a sham.

Heck, just nationalize all the industries and let the government run them and dictate salaries to everyone. There's your "fairness".

Everyone gets the same piece of the pie. Just like Russia did.

This is the common us vs. them fallacy that pervades the entire healthcare debate. I want healthcare reform just like everyone else does. The problem with the US these days is that everyone wants something for nothing. And Democrats have capitalized on this by telling us that healthcare reform will be deficit neutral in order to sell their plan. This is the biggest lie that has ever been told to this nation, and will have much more far-reaching consequences financially than any other lie that we've ever been told. It's an embarrassment to this country that we live in a place where the citenzry will fall for anything in the name of "gotta get mine."

Healthcare reform is needed. THIS healthcare reform is one big lie.

This is NOT reform; it is insurance subsidy full of pork.
There is no reform in this bill and will prove to be a cash cow for insurers, drug makers and any other corporation doing health care business.
Guaranteed revenue coming right from Uncle Sam.

Lets all write the man a check, bet most dems here would be the first to come up with some excuse not to help the man. Or they wont have anything in their checkbooks to help a poor man in need.

Like most of us we have worked very hard to earn our living. We have earned our own HC and paid for it, we have earned a saving account for things like this and we have prepared ourselves in case something would happen.

I am for helping people who cannot help themselves and are ill, but I am NOT for helping those who have been healthy their entire lives, not worked, not earned and not went the extra step to make their lives better.

It is NOT my job to feed, house and take care of people who have done nothing right their entire lives.

Its called learn a skill or a trade, apply it, earn good money, save money and buy your own HC. Then when and if you do get sick you are covered.

Simple idea.

What is it with those who believe this is reform when we all know it is NOT REFORM.

This is cost the working American tons of money and hand losers free HC.

That is what this is all about, suck of the successful people and hand it to losers who wont work.

It's the dems dream.

Pork bill hidden with all kinds of crap is what this bill is.

We need to start calling it Obamas Pork Chop Bill.

What's changed? This has been going on with health insurance companies for 60 years at least.

If the person in the grocery store line paying with food stamps and eating better than you ever bothered you (while you paid with your hard-earned cash and coupons), then just wait until those entilement freaks run down to the local clinic to get checked out for every ache.

Obama gonna take care of my gas, my mortgage, AND MY INSURANCE!

Higher taxes and/or higher debt and deficits, coming right up! Thanks Democrats!

Dumbasses.
