Major agencies cited the exemption at least 70,779 times during the 2009 budget year, up from 47,395 times during President George W. Bush's final full budget year, according to annual reports filed by federal agencies. Obama was president for nine months in the 2009 period.
From the article:
Much of the Obama administration's early effort seems to have been aimed at clearing out a backlog of old cases: The number of requests still waiting past deadlines spelled out in the open-records law fell from 124,019 in budget year 2008 to 67,764 at the end of the most recent budget year.
Sounds like they are working on it (but government moves slowly, no matter who's president)
Have you been keeping up with what is going on? This Administration has been far more transparent than any. Have you visited recovery.gov? and of course all the other websites the white house has set up. Has any President ever been this transparent and accessible before? The answer is NO. Has our Country had these types of financial troubles before, when cities and states are bankrupt? NO.
Do you actually believe these problems can be solved overnight? It took several months to find out the totality of the damage done, it will take years to clean this mess up and I am absolutely certain that no President can do it ALONE. We all need to take responsibly for our OWN LIVES and stop sitting around waiting for the Government to fix our lives for us!
obama's lies are spewing out so quickly it's hard to keep track. Thanks for the post and for reminding us all what a liar we elected.
It is just so clear, who the American People really did vote in. Can we get a REFUND?
