or don't learn. This is the craziest thing I have heard in years! The Texas Board of Education, because Texas buys the most books, decides on what will be included or excluded from your kids textbooks.

This needs to change because these people are nuts!

Well I don't know ..... my sons just came home with an assignment to do a report on the Midwest of the United States. It was suggested they include a map, and make sure it had the names of all 5 Great Lakes. Problem is only 4 of the Great Lakes are in the Midwest. BTW, I am located in the Northeast. I guess that's where all the smart people are.

Perhaps they wanted the kids to get a perspective of just how large the Great Lakes are? Or they figured that since they would need to draw in four of the Great Lakes might as well include the fifth?
