Well, why don't you do it? Since you seem to believe it's the duty of someone

Yes, God can do anything, but he gave us choice, this isn't a religious debate, its one with Israel and if you've read the book of Judges, they've gone through trials every so many years and prosper for so many.

But Pretend it is us, and San Diego is being shelled, would YOU want the military to move if the USA was under attack?

God doesn't GIVE people anything, he provides opprotunities for them to get what they want, you want patience, God presents to you a situation where you can be patient,

You want to strengthen foreign relations with other countries, God gives you a country under attack that needs help and that will help you when you need it.

Doesn't seem like a bad deal, write a letter to your local politician, if enough people write them they might actually do something since it might mean their re-election, or it might mean an Israeli with a UN passport comes to your state asking around for you... (if you get my joke?)

What do you think? Should the US dump Israel or not?

At what point will the West dump Israel?
"US taxpayers have every reason to feel that Israel, as the largest single recipient of US foreign aid, is already a massive financial liability. Even so, since most of those tax dollars get plowed straight back into the US defense industry, Washington is unlikely to become more attentive to the concerns of ordinary American citizens than it is to the interests of its corporate sponsors.

Nevertheless, there is now reason to think that with the murder of Mahmoud al Mabhouh in Dubai, Israel crossed a line that strains the limits of Western tolerance."

You're so interested in the financial strain of supporting an ally? Does anyone have stats on the aid we give to hostile nations? Would make some interesting reading.

It is no surprise to me that this president is distancing himself from Israel... especially with so many "Jew Watchers" (and you know what I'm talking about) cheering him on. Afterall, he loves his "other" brothers to the point of falling over himself. On his head be it...

Default please realize

Israel is one of our closest allies, and if our government decided to no longer support our friend, it would be one of the greatest modern diplomatic tragedies. It is a shame our President seems to be distancing himself from Israel. I wonder how long it will take for Jewish voters in America to realize that in the 21st Century conservatives are more supportive of Israel and Jewish causes than liberals are. While Israel has one of the strongest militaries in the world (per capita), if Middle Eastern terrorist organizations (and sometimes even the governments of those countries) no longer believed that an attack on Israel meant war with the United States, it wouldn't be too long before Israel was invaded/bombed.

The US military want to distance the US from Israel. Obama is not anti-Israel but Admiral Mullen, General McCrystal, and other top military brass understand the risks that being too closely associated with Israel brings with regard to US aims in the Middle East. Defense Secretary Gates feels much the same way.

Growing up where I did I have the utmost respect and admiration for the Jewish people. OTOH, the Israeli government is not infallible and when it acts in an irresponsible manner it should be criticized (it's certainly criticized in Israel itself). Israel needs the US more than the US needs Israel and should not go out of its way to alienate its best friends.

"Jew Watch" is a white supremacist group that has had no influence on any US administration.

God is supporting them.
In every generation comes someone who try to murder them, in every country comes a leader who want to use them as scapegoats.
Can't you see how many people have tried to kill them, how many nations tried to destroy them and these nations today are mostly no longer existing as big nations.
God is supporting Israel!
7 Arabs armies attack them the day the modern Israel was established and they still won.
With enemies all around them they still manage to send rescue teams all over the world to every disaster, invent medicine, and develop technology.

The only team going to Haiti and setting up a complete field hospital within 24 hours of arrival from the other side of the globe; equipped with MRI machine, Ultra sound, and even premature baby delivery department with all the necessary equipment to save lives was Israel.

So God is protecting the good.

The USA should allied with the good guys. Not the perfect guys, since no one is perfect, and Israel is not perfect.
It's like saying that the US should not have fought the Taliban, so that the Muslim world will be upset.
USA should support Israel because it's good for the USA, because the last thing we need is an all Muslim middle east.
What do you think will happen if Israel is no longer there.
Do you think all of a sudden the Arab countries will flourish, and stop breeding terrorists?
No, they won't. They will just send their terrorists someplace else probably here.
Look at the reformers in the Arab world, they are mostly here, mostly afraid for their lives, and all LOVE Israel.
Most of them converted to Christianity.
