The tea party is trying to change the status quo. Any change (genuine change, not Obama's "hope and change") is a great threat to the elite. The elite are small in numbers but are able to shape public opinion. Those who speak out against the tea party movement are doing the job for the elite to enforce the status quo.

Default hey progs, are these the people you dispise?

FOXNews.com - Faces of the Tea Party: Meet the Activists Behind the Conservative Surge

I would feel far safer with them than with some of the greedy cynical hate-filled lunatic lefties that have surfaced in the "last 8 years".

Oh yes we know.... faux news isn't the politically correct source for the smarterbettereducatedwithbetterideasdemocrats, right?

if you try to hold back the hands of the clock, it will rip your arms off.

You have nothing to back up your opinion, on the other hand, I have the polls and results of three elections that illustrate how wrong you are.
Are you hoping for the destruction of the US or lamenting it? It's not clear.

Fragile violent streak? Like code pink, eco terrorists, and DNC bundlers charging the RNC stage? The lunatic left is far more likely to do violence ala Al Quaeda than any tax-paying grandma. A grandma you would like to euthanize in order to make room for more tax-receiving parasites who will vote for, you guessed it, democrats.

Just because the progs fooled the voters in the last election doesn't entitle you to commit scorched earth upon the hand that feeds you.
Engaging in little street theater blame games like "Gee paw, Ima scairt o' them rednecks" is really getting old. And we see through it.
If you can't play nice with people who are truly and rightfully concerned for the nation, you should go back to your ivory tower and contemplate your naval.

There.... 200% INTENDED
Well I hope you can see that it is absurd to group all "lefties" into one stereotype. Not every leftie holds as a hero the Weather Underground folks just as not every rightie believes the drivel Fox news feeds them and is willing to throw bricks at targeted Dem representatives.

Tea parties don't scare the "bejesus" out of me b/c frankly, with their violent rhetoric, laced with propaganda that harkens to Nazi-ism, most folks can clearly see they are clearly digging their own grave. You're obviously not one of them. So we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I do like contemplating my navel, but I also enjoy being engaged in a pluralistic society, one in which the different factions are not recommending killing each other in order to get their point across. I for one would like to see a more politically pluralistic USA in which violent rhetoric was not a mainstay of popular or popularly featured parties. Call me a dreamer.

It's the tea partiers who are the minority. The majority are in sync with the elites - finally.

Strange that you would feel safer with the news source that likely supports and is the voicebox for all conservative elites with whom you probably share nothing in common with.

And you're right, faux news is not the right source for educated dems, or reps. It, like many other media sources, is entangled in propaganda. As long as you continue thinking that dems are only interested in "politically correct" sites, you continue to misunderstand. Your problem, not ours.

Incorrect. Pursuant to Art. 4, Sec. 4, the U.S. government guarantees a republican form to the states.

"When the USA collapses...". Do you really believe that or are you engaging in hyperbolic statements to make some sort of point?
The U.S.A. is collapsing around us, at this moment.
The process has taken decades, but it is self - evident.
To illustrate:
Hyperinflation - a roller coaster ticket in 1950 was $0.05. In 1965, it was $0.15. In 2010, it is $3.00 - and more. (Based on a PBS show about roller coasters.) Apartments in NYC and LA are sold for millions of "dollar bills".
Taxation - in 1901, government took less than 1% of the GNP. Today, Federal government "officially" takes 20% of the GDP. "Unofficially", via inflation, interest, and other impositions, it takes far more from us. Then tack on the State levies - oh my aching wallet.
Medical care - don't even go there. There is no "right" to health care, when only government licensed people can give it, sell it, and make it. If you don't get government permission, you will be convicted of practicing medicine without a license (permission).

Right now at this moment in history, labor (middle class and below) need big government to slice up the economic pie in a more equitable manner so that our country doesn't resemble a two-bit thirdworld arrangement where labor works for food while a very small minority watches its worth increase exponentially.
"Share the wealth" is a euphemism for compelling one to labor for the benefit of another. Slavery and thievery by a socialist government is not a solution.

The usurer / socialist alliance has been in operation since 1933. In three generations, they have reprogrammed Americans from high aspirations to the lowest of expectations.

Of course, you can't really blame the government - there are no laws compelling participation in "voluntary" national socialism, nor are there any laws punishing Americans who do not participate.

He who consents cannot complain.
But if fraud was used to get that consent, by all means, withdraw your consent.

You clearly miss the level headedness in my approach. No, never the twain shall meet b/c you and yours are so thickheaded you hear nothing but your own voice.

Now go try to bully someone else into agreeing with you.
