This is a great step for America, maybe now my mother won't get dropped off the company insurance when she turns 60 next year... with arthritis. Her boss already told her that she alone will double their insurance premiums.
I'm a left leaning Indie but I'm not in support of this bill.
At least now that health reform is part of the national debate (expect lawsuits from challenges from both the left and the right for this health industry bailout), the national attention will be on how to solve this issue, which is the real piggy bank deficit buster.
Now we can only hope the states give this bill total HELL before the brunt of this bill is felt.
Gone ye are the days of personal accountability, now the gubmint is gonna pay all my bills. Only the fools don't know they will be taxed up the dairyaire.
I mean seriously, some of the 'yay' votes must have been paid off from how some of those guys were flip-flopping. Since people are going to have a free option in health care, it's going to be abused like no tommorow.
There's no doubt of that. This was a bill written for business interests, not people.
Unfortunately, have to agree with you. This is bigger than most people realize, and there's no turning back.
They have no idea what they just did.
