It has been a long time in the making, and it took YOU as president to finally make this dream a reality for all americans. No other president in history has been able to achieve this monumental feat.

It has been an embarrassment that the wealthiest nation in the world did not, could not and would not provide basic healthcare for 32 milllion people
(at least). It is a basic human right to seek medical attention when one is sick or injured.

Of course, there are still some kinks to be worked out, same as when medicare, social security and other policies were initially enacted.

Thank you, Mr. President. You said " YES WE CAN" and YES WE DID.

Hope you have your checkbook ready, because now you have to start paying for it.

I don't understand the people thinking universal health care is a bad thing. Are you guys all super healthy and not worried about possibly being stuck with a $ 250,000 medical bill one day if (God forbid) you are struck with some kind of a horrible disease and your health insurance (that is if you HAVE one) decides to drop you??? I really don't get it. Are you guys so greedy that you'd prefer to take that risk instead of helping out others who might help YOU out at some point in your life when YOU need it?
Pssttt....this ISN'T universal health care.

I think everyone pretty much agrees that insurance should accommodate pre-existing conditions somehow and that they shouldn't drop you if you get sick. The costs are another matter entirely and not at all addressed in this bill except that by mandates, taxes and fees the costs are guaranteed to go up. There are much easier ways to address affordability that would work for most Americans but that's not what this bill does either...they are just passing out subsidies while insurance companies rake in the money.

Maybe you think that's a good thing....I sure don't.

It will bust the private companies,it will bust Medicaid,

& the only ones who will definitely be hurt is the 200k+ rich...
who cannot do tax evasion for fearing jail...

It all is bad, harmful, wrong,in one word ...socialist...

Even if that was true-- which it's not-- it has nothing to do with socialism.

Again, even if true, which it's not... It's not socialism.

It seems that you are confused about what socialism is. Surprise. You seem to have no trouble screaming about things you apparently know little to nothing about. Try doing some reading.

True. Would someone explain to us why Republicans and conservatives refuse to accept that Medicare is socialism and why they aren't nterested in working hard to abolish it?

Yep. And let us not forget, the cost of that Medicare expansion was $800B, a price tag they thought was "cheap". Forget about its value as a service.

Hey, that's a good one. You should try it out on April Fools Day and see how many people fall for it.

No one with a brain actually thinks premiums will be lower. I know you've seen the CBO estimates....and I expect the real premium increases will be even higher just as the real cost of the bill is higher.
