Being prejudice and murderous is not a white thing, it's a human one .

Tell this to the blacks using machetees on their own people in Darfur, Somalia and many other places .

What about the black slave masters in many parts of the world today ? Also know your history of black on black and white slavery and racism .

Yes, I think we all know prejudice and racism is a human problem, not specific to any particular race

But this thread is not about slavery nor about Darfur. It's about potential race riots in the U.S. which I think most people anticipate being fueled by a segment of the black community or a segment of the predominantly white right wing community.

I think people will be surprised at how much he actually gets done in this first 4 years. He has tackled more than Bill did. He got health care. He is getting rid of Don't ask don't tell. He has stimulated the economy, the housing market is turning around the economy is doing likewise. He has saved many job by shoring up some failing industries. He appears to be looking in to accountability of the past administration and industries. Not sure about the war it seems to linger on and on...
but he isn't even 2 years in his term... he really has done a lot. and yes I still like Nader but I can at least see reality and that isn't all that bad.

I think he will sail through in 2012. I expect there will still be stupid people saying he is a terrorist, or that he was born in Kenya or whatever distraction they can come up with. Yet they simply won't look at results. And for all those that say his healthcare is a disaster we can't afford... apparently he has taken Medicare part D out which was a program Bush put in that had absolutely NO means for funding and would have brought medicare funding to a halt. Him killing this off will more than save enough for the healthcare ( which he seems to have created funding for anyway)

If an idiot, set on dismantling the Constitution could get reelected, Obama who will have actually done some good will easily make it. I think the change is that he has actually done something, in a town that seems to do little.

No, I don't think Obama is the right person for the job. We should not worry about whether he or she is black, white, yellow, or red. We should worry about if he can do the job and put the country on the right track. We have not had good leadership in Washington since Ronald Reagan.
You are absoutely right!!!!! It would be wonderful if everyone could actually judge people by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

And again. Just to make things clearer. What you're saying is that if we "libs" stop being upset about that behavior...that's when the behavior will stop...because we're causing the behavior by objecting to the behavior which, somehow, was already there before we objected to it...even though we caused it?

I need a Tylenol.
When did it become wrong to call it like you see it?? Oh I know when the protesters became people you happen to disagree with.

Don't be ridiculous. The tea party is against the socialist agenda. They hate the current policies. They do not hate blacks. Are there racists in the crowd? YES. Just like there are racists at Reverend Wright's church. Unfortunately they are everywhere and come in every color and creed.

I am more concerned with the fringe militia wackos coming down from the woods if he wins again. But while the blacks are "rioting", these guys are just "exercising their consitutional rights", so it is all good.

"Getting things done"?

Look out the window.

1. Do you see all the "for sale" signs up?
2. Did you realize that mortgage defaults are at an all time high?
3. Did you realize that unemployment is at 10%?
4. Did you realize the the POTUS added $2trillion in debt in one and a half years and is on schedule to double the debt in his tenure?
5. Did you realize that the "healthcare plan" cut medicare benefits by $500 billion?
6. Did you realize that the new healthcare plan taxes as well as expiration of the Bush tax cuts are stifiling corporate profits, limiting new hires?
7. Did you realize that Obama has ESCALATED the war in Afgainistan?

If this is progress, it is in the fast lane on the highway to hell. I guess that libs find economic recession and unemployment appealing. To each his own.

If there are riots when Obama is defeated in 2012, that is fine. People can burn thier own neighborhoods if they wish to do so. I would think that would be somewhat foolish, but that is just me.

Housing sales have had a one of the strongest showings in a long time. FL is one of the "bad" states for foreclosures. , Here in Orlando we set a record for contracts in February. That's a big difference from a president that put us ini this mess
2. Did you realize that mortgage defaults are at an all time high?
see above
3. Did you realize that unemployment is at 10%?
9.7% and last month had over 400,000 new jobs where many came back into the job market..so it actually improved
4. Did you realize the the POTUS added $2trillion in debt in one and a half years and is on schedule to double the debt in his tenure?
yea he did, continuing a war started by bush, bailing out companies (the bailouts were also started by the reps) and he stimulated the economy with that.... If the 10T from Bush wasn't a worry why worry from someone fixing what Bush started?
5. Did you realize that the "healthcare plan" cut medicare benefits by $500 billion? oh you mean the unfunded Medicare Part D that would have boken the system?... yea its a great thing this monster was killed.
6. Did you realize that the new healthcare plan taxes as well as expiration of the Bush tax cuts are stifiling corporate profits, limiting new hires?
if Bush's plan was so stimulating where are all those successes? His cuts helped very few and after 8 years of trickle down economics (regan) wee know that doesn't work and the stimulus to the economy is minimal.
7. Did you realize that Obama has ESCALATED the war in Afgainistan?
Yes, and runs the risk of war in Iran, and has drawn down troops in Iraq. . Why do you think we really entered Iraq? we know it wasn't for WMD's so why did Bush and Cheney want us there? I have as much an issue with them getting us there as us staying there.... remember I voted for Nader as I really did want change.

Many experts are saying the Depression of Bush is actually turned around and the economy is recovering, through the efforts and stimulation from this president, and he has done in in a relatively short time frame.
So I guess I have "looked out the window"... this is what I see, curious how you see nothing positive, even when the numbers are there to prove it...again I didn't vote for Obama but I can see he has done some good... more than the previous 8 years.....
