I guess unless large tax increases hurt business, then no that's nonsense talk!

I don't think employers should be mandated to provide health insurance.
It's just another burden.

It's precisely why I support single-payer.

I tried my best to tell my representative to vote no for the bill so you can try to attack me for the job loss of the 18 people but your blame is misplaced.

Blame our so-called representatives in Congress who are more beholden to special interests than doing what's right for the American people.
I stand corrected, then, because I thought you were in favor of this bill.

Single-payer just means everybody pays, not just employers, right?

I would either have to let some go, now, or close and let everybody go later.
No, there are alternatives.. You simply break the company up into 3-4 different companies, 20 employees each..

Purple thinks the bill doesnt go far enough because they want to see NO insurance companies, and ONLY the government dictating care..

YES! I guess the days of having so many employees at McDonalds are over, or the $1 menu will be costing $ 1.50....to afford the health care...or maybe just as in Europe health care will only be given to the full time employees and no one will be full time anymore...

Thats not what a single payer is..

A single payer is the government pays all medical bills, and ONLY taxpayers pickup the tab...

and then when the big push comes through to legalize the illegals, that will really throw us all off the cliff.

more americans will be competing for fewer jobs, leaving us with a permanent oversupply of workers, and driving down wages for everyone. of course, the need for social services will rise so taxes will have to go up, squeezing the workers and middle class even more.

i didn't think it could get worse than it was with bush, but i was wrong.

Say hello to higher taxes, say hello to long waiting lists, say hello to the government deciding what treatments you can have or not, etc...the worse is yet to come and unfortunately many who don't believe me now will believe me and get a rude awakening....but some will be very happy.

The happy people will be: the lazy, the convicted felons, and all the rest who rather live their life with hand outs! Great job Obama, spreading the wealth around....the rich will be getting advise how to get their money away from the US (very smart, I would do the same), the poor will be happy and the middle class (like me) will pay the prize...and Obama, Pelosi, Reid, well they have their own health care and backdoor deals and Chicago corruption, so we don't have to feel sorry for them.

Sounds like people making a real case for Nationalizing Health Care. Then the Insurance Companies will be out of the mix annd Doctors will be able to devote all of their time to their patients
