This shows just how much conservatives think of their fellow Americans. Very nice of you people. Thanks very much.
Millions of uninsured illegals seemed to get medical treatment. How did they ever do that?
Now as for conservatives think about fellow americans. Farmers. Most are conservatives. They feed a nation and more. Dairy farmers who have not seen a real pay raise in 30 years but keep producing milk anyway. They are the bad guy?
Like many I don't want to pay for dead beats and slackers. The trailor park roudies who have money for dish net and the bar but none for insurance. Drive past low income developments in N.E PA. What do you see? Late model cars, boats and ATV's. But no money to pay an honest rent. Often it is about choices. I hear people complain about farm subsidies and in the next breath demand more help and more welfare for America's poor. Demand more foreign aid for countries like Haiti. A good many of America's farmers are our poor.... Unlike the dead beats they actually work hard and do their level best.

The greatest country in the world , you say. I don't know about that. I see conditions all over the USA that rival any I have seen in the third world. Detroit, Southside Chigago, Camden NJ, New Orleans, St Louis, Louisville Ky and on and on and on.
We don't have any places like that here in Canada. None, ziltch, zero. Is that clear enough for you. We have complete and total universal healthcare. Maybe the two things are connected. In a country that cares enough for it's people that it make sure they all have access to world class health care they also make sure their citizens don't live in world class slums.

What countries have had UHC as their first step in going from first to third world nation?

In the hospital emergency room - not in a doctor's office.

And if we let gay people marry, what next? People marrying their dogs?

You're joking, right? I sure hope so.

If not ... what's wrong with gay people being allowed to marry one another? Allowing them to marry doesn't hurt anyone. How's a gay couple getting married going to cause any harm or damage?

I'm a conservative, believe in God, straight (married with 10 kids & 5 grandkids), spent 40 years in the service, and even I'm for gay marriage.

I really don't understand why some folks think it's their job to put limits on what other folks are allowed to do legally, if what they're doing isn't hurting anyone.
