More than 50% did not like this particular bill. It's silly to argue that Congress should be bound to opinion polls, which are often biased and offer no depth of explanation for various opinions. The only poll that Congress is bound to is the November election. The individual members of Congress did not hide their support of Obama's healthcare plan in November of 2008--and in fact that plan went further than the one passed last night.

I'm personally unhappy with the bill, but recognize that compromises had to be made. Hopefully this is something that will be fine-tuned over time. And don't forget that some of the people in this majority were actually unhappy because it didn't go far enough.

Isn't that what they said in 1935, with the passage of Social Security? LMAO!

Seek help. There is medication and therapy out there which can help pull you out of these paranoid delusions. The treatment may even be covered under the new health care bill.

Your melodramatic "sky is falling" dog and pony show does not work on me. And what's with the "socialist commie" combination? It doesn't even make sense.
If you read and agree with the Constitution it would make sense. That's not the posters failings, it's yours.

Well, "kamra" must be a b*tch because the GOP is at it's lowest point ever! It's a party of bat sh*t crazy, right-wing, fundamentalist bible thumpers run by crazies like Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and Palin - people who no one wants anything to do with. The moderate Republicans have been disenfranchised and left for dead by the likes of Karl Rove who courted the likes of James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and their flunkees. So, yes, "kamra" is a b*tch. I guess the hundreds of thousands who have been killed for Dick Cheney's blood money are directing the "kamra".

there were some congressmen that passed this bill even though 80%+ of their voters who got them into office did not want them to pass it.

how is that for going against the wishes of your voters.
