...ignorance and divisiveness. All you have to do is look around to see what it has done to the country. The greatest economic inequality since the Gilded Age was followed by a near-total collapse of the overall economy. As a country, we have a monumental mess on our hands and still the Republicans have nothing to offer in the way of a remedy except more tax cuts for the rich.
This is the party of trickle down and weapons of mass destruction, the party of birthers and death-panel lunatics. This is the party that genuflects at the altar of right-wing talk radio, with its insane, nauseating, nonstop commitment to hatred and bigotry.
Leaked documents reveal GOP plan to use scare tactics to raise money
National GOP leaders are doing damage control today after a Politico scoop lifted the curtain on the party's plan to tap voters' "fear" in the coming campaign season. The PR problem started when an absent-minded attendee at the Republican National Committee (RNC) confab on February 18 in Boca Grande, Florida, left a 72-page document from its 2010 strategizing session in a hotel room. Today, Politico reporter Ben Smith's expose is making headlines.
The best path to victory in 2010, the document advises, is for Republican candidates to depict themselves as the best hope for resisting the "trending toward socialism" taking shape in a Democrat-dominated Washington.

This is worthy of its own thread. The swamp really does need draining.
I don't think Republican fear what they profess. It is just a lie in the hope to stop anything that benefits the nation. Republicans fought just as hard against social security and medicare decades ago. And Bush wanted to privatize social security even as the stock market was collapsing. Republicans frankly are not very bright and have horrible judgment. They are dumbfounded and desperate. Like a dangerous animal cornered, Republicans now act out in profanity and violence. These people need to be carefully watched for terrorism big time.

When I think of ignorance, I think Al Gore... "He (Bush) betrayed this country. He played on our fears," Al Gore screaming like a lunatic.
And speaking of fear, what about Al Gore and the "global warming" baloney?

Trickle down tax cuts does work and weapons of mass destruction? Are you referring to the many Democrats who were making that claim?
The N.Y. Slimes? Does anybody still take that "news"paper seriously? It is still in business?
