I'll add to that....why do they want to lead something they believe doesn't work & then stand around spouting "if it ain't broken, don't fix it"...the whole "we fear change" thing. It's completely redundant.

I'm really not sure. I can understand the value of cost-efficiency, but Republicans go much further than that. Their blunt answer to nearly everything is: "Government is bad." It's a brain-dead philosophy, and they're not even sincere about it, as they have proven time and time again. As far as I know, government has always expanded as the country has grown. If the Republican slogan is, "We shrink government", then I think they've failed completely.

Most right leaning voters do think the government is bloated and wasteful, and hope the people they elect actually try and do something about. It is the politicians in the wrong, across the board, for not fulfilling (or even attempting to fulfill) their promises. There is no blame to be shouldered by the voters who asked but did not get what they wanted when their person was instilled in office. Government only creates more government, and it seems noone elected into the system can slay the beast. Imagine if we were actually efficient lacking the multiple layers of beaurocracy to get ANYTHING done! We could have all the entitlements the left wants AND all the wars the right wants!

In the ordinary course of events the Democrats will likely lose some seats in the off-year election. How many remains to be seen. It already seems to be happening, though, that now that people are learning what's actually in the health care act it is becoming more popular, and a substantial chunk of the people who have been counted in the opponents of health care reform have been opposing it from the left; those people are not going to vote for the red-faced, angry extremists who are the most likely candidates. You Republicans are fond of characterizing the United States as a center-right country, but the push has been to run candidates who consider the center a betrayal. Witness the characterization of McCain, Romney, and Scott as RINO's.

Keep it up.
Total agreement, Jack.

If they DO keep it up, there won't be enough republicans left in 2012 to play leapfrog, much less elect anyone.

41% are conservative minded
31% are independent
ONLY 21% are liberal minded

The entire majority of this country are not happy with the job the dems have done in the past three years.

What is this dem congress approval rating 11%. Not so good.

All the rep candidates have to do is be conservative fiscally minded and the dems are done.

People are sick of the corrupt criminal behavior of the left.

They are hanging themselves with their criminal ways and pushing this country into a direction the majority of us DO NOT want.

The left is scared right now, they know they have to ram all they want down right now because they know they are not going to have power come November.

All the rep's have to do is be conservative on all the issues and its landslide in the house and added seats in the Senate.

The left cannot win an election without the indys and some rep's.

The loon party wrote their meal ticket out!

The end of liberalism in America is near folks.

40 seats. Just enough to boot Pelosi, that shrieking, arrogant $@!*&%. Any more than that and we'll keep getting what we got.
