I think the panic over this is great evidence that large numbers of Americans are truly ignorant, or at the very least, live in a provincial world where they know very little about what goes on outside of our borders.
Yes. How is providing healthcare to make you citizens healthier going to bring about the end of the world?.

I am sure if Castro states he liked mangoes, that there would be many Americans who would boycott mangoes.

(PS Commie plots China does capitalism better than America does.)

Your site does not even state a source. Actually the whole site looks rather unprofessional, an org. domain alone does not lend credibility.

What is it with libs? It's like they have a stone cold block when it comes to personal responsibility, even for someone else! Castro made Castro. No matter how he got there he is still his own man, leading by his OWN CHOICES!

Make no mistake about it, I understand libs hate truth and must fight against it at all costs.

I don't know why the socialist/commnunist thing gets tiresome. hussein obama has spent his entire life seeking them out and seeing some as mentors and father figures. Now he is putting what he learned in action to our demise.

Wow. You drank TWO glasses of the marxist kool-aid.

When Cubans go to the hospital for surgery, they are required to purchase most of the surgical instruments for thier surgery. These instruments are often purchased in the US from relatives in the US. Further, family members must bring linen and change the patient's bedsheets.

That is probably the same level of care we will get with Obama care.

How do you know? Do you still have family members in Cuba?

I think your horizon is too narrow to think beyond what you know without being afraid.

Personal responsibility, own choices? Nah, I don't believe in that. Those things are myths that we invented to be able to blame others instead of society, i.e. ourselves. In my view nobody is an island, we all do what we do because we have no other choice. Action and reaction. We are all caught in a stream of events think as lava.
The West has thought for a long time they could simply get rid of an alternative system on Cuba by trying to kill Castro and boycotting the country (as if that little island posed a thread to anyone...). They just never seem to get it that people only change when you can convince them of your own views. And in this respect the West, particularly the US, has failed again and again. That is why we have the same mess everywhere we interfere. And I am not surprised it is hard to convince people of our system when yet again we barely escaped the collapse of our system just recently.

Going back to the topic: Sometimes you just can't choose who you get compliments from. Being German, when I go to Arabia, Pakistan or even India, I get compliments for the history of Germany, especially the Hitler era (Hitler is admired in those regions). Obviously that is simply embarrassing, but I can't change it. Now, does that mean being German is bad because those nuts still associate Germans with Hitler?

The material problems are mostly due to the US boycott of that country. The exile Cubans, frankly, they are Washington's whores.
