And to cut Government spending during the biggest recession of our lives would be irresponsible - would have put millions more people into crisis. Thank goodness Obama got elected at this crucial time in our country.

That is HISTORY folks. Finger pointing won't make that huge RED number go away.
We are where we are thanks to both sides and you can go back to the mid 1920's if you want to document who had a surplus and who had a deficit. But at the end of the day, it does not matter.
We are on a suicide course here the likes of which the US has never seen before.
Exactly its time waste time to stop this finger pointing about who is to blame and for what

What do we do to change it now? Because we cant keep going like we are now

We need to stop looking backwards and blaming previous presidents. That will not solve our problem. If we dont start drastically CUTTING SPENDING our country is going to be bankrupt.

We aren't paying for what we are getting. We need to do that. Or reduce what we are getting to match what we are paying for.

Well, we could try stopping spending to buy votes. Most of the "entitlement"
expansion is targeted at purchasing votes to guarantee staying in power.

The American people are going to have to lower their expectations for material possessions. A return to the concept of "self-responsibility" is the best road to freedom from government control. Being weaned off breast-feeding isn't pleasant, but its' a necessary step to independence.
