We'll see about that when those millions of seniors are shifted into Medicare.
Fits in with what I was saying earlier about adults.

What makes it obvious, your saying so? This thread hasn't really left you with much credibility, you know.

Then they'll have a perfectly good explanation of the $1 billion, and everyone will be happy.

For the seniors' prescription coverage, yes. The charges for the other tax liabilities in the HCR bill haven't been taken yet because corporations are still determining whether they will keep their employees' insurance plans as they are, scale them back, or drop them altogether.
There can be no similar charges unless there are similar assets to be marked down. I asked earlier whether you were aware of any additional such assets and got no answer...
While the CBO does magic accounting for the government, corporations, the SEC and Accounting firms who certify books can't.
This is what happens when you pass "magic" numbers from the government.
This is what happens when only static tax analysis is used to draft legislation, as Obama and the Dems have done with the HCR bill, because it fails to account for changes in behavior in response to the change in tax liability. Sheer stupidity - that's why this has come back to very publicly bite Obama and the Dems in the ass.
"And if the government borrows a few trillion dollars
from your future and gives it to labor unions, you’ll
get a huge raise… and your insurance premiums will
drop by one… no, two… no, make that three 3,000%!
Yeah, that’s the ticket!"

They never bothered to play "what if" with the numbers.
This is a pure revenue grab on the part of the government.
This along with HSA changes, medicare cuts and whatever else comes sliming out of this bill as people finally start to digest it.
The teabaggers are so upset about billion dollar corporations that don't employ Americans are taking a hit, aren't you guys against big corporations, dont you want to be represented, common folk, not the fiscal elite?
Under the 2003 Medicare prescription drug program, companies that provide prescription drug benefits for retirees have been able to receive subsidies covering 28 percent of eligible costs. But they could deduct the entire amount they spent on these drug benefits — including the subsidies — from their taxable income.
Sounds like a loophole got covered up and AT&T and others are complaining. They've been gett'n over for 7 years, pay back time.
Damn, I'd complain too.
