OK, you can't make this stuff up. Here it is folks ... you dummies! I know you tree hugging, human hating, SUV loathing, carbon footprint communist liberals are going to love this guy.

Obama's Transportation Secretary declares ‘This Is the End of Favoring Motorized Transportation at the Expense of Non-Motorized’

CNSNews.com - Obama Transportation Secretary: ‘This Is the End of Favoring Motorized Transportation at the Expense of Non-Motorized’ (http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/63290 - broken link)

That's right folks .. the future of Amerika under Obama leadership promises a rickshaw in every driveway.

And you though he was SERIOUS about high speed railway? Ha! How about rickshaw rail.

A glimpse of your future ... thanks Comrade Soetoro.

Nowhere it says anything about rickshaws, so I'll assume that's your paltry attempt at humour. That aside, for too long our transportation efforts have focused only on how to get cars from point A to point B and not how to lessen car traffic by building more pedestrian and bicycle friendly areas. I don't see anything objectionable about having a balance of cars and buses on the road, rail, bike lanes, and pedestrians.

No, that's the logical progression, when you find that a bicycle isn't nearly as efficient (only one person) as a Rickshaw, multiple people. HOV 3 bicycle lanes = Rickshaws only.

Now what is funny is how you Obama nuts would follow this devil off a cliff .. the whole lot of you. Now all we have to do is figure out a way of convincing him to do it, and the rest of our problems will take care of themselves.

I guess I made this up too ... an excerpt from the above posted article:

Quote:
“Some in the highway-supporters motorist groups have been concerned by your livability initiative,” said the moderator at the National Press Club event. “Is this an effort to make driving more torturous and to coerce people out of their cars?”

“It is a way to coerce people out of their cars,” said LaHood.

The moderator later asked: “Some conservative groups are wary of the livable communities program, saying it's an example of government intrusion into people's lives. How do you respond?”

“About everything we do around here is government intrusion in people's lives,” said LaHood. “So have at it.”
That about says it all. This unapologetic communist filth LOVES to intrude and coerce ... well, coerce this!

And the followers of these fools will suffer the same fate. It's only a matter of time.

Two things: One, where does it say anything about rickshaws? Two, how is this communism?

The communist part is the quote from the article pasted below.
“Some in the highway-supporters motorist groups have been concerned by your livability initiative,” said the moderator at the National Press Club event. “Is this an effort to make driving more torturous and to coerce people out of their cars?”

Bicycles and rickshaws are a great idea! Instead of watching those long info-mercials about exercise equipment (Bow-Flex and what not) the people could trim off the blubber by using bicycles and rickshaws.

The rickshaw bit is somewhat facetious, yet not totally out of line, if you put things in historical perspective. If you were around in the days of Vietnam, and the propaganda that was prevalent in depicting the ills of communism in those days, you'd remember the images of Asians (Vietnamese, Chinese) riding bicycles and rickshaws which were how these societies were characterized by the media .. and not untruthfully. And in the case of these communist nations, the non-motorized forms of transportation was the common means of transportation for the commoners. That is a fact.

The premise was, as compared to America and two shiny new cars in the driveway, look at communism ... this is what America is fighting against ... the backward, oppressive communist ideology of total state control which reduces common people to that of virtual slaves, victims of economic stagnation, and void of modern conveniences ... air conditioning, refrigeration, with automobile transportation only available to the privileged class. This was the face of the evil communist system, and a fairly accurate one too.

Fast forward to today, and we see the exact things taking place that we were shown to be the face of communism. Total state control. Now we have the transnational banker gangsters basically running the federal government ... government takeover of the largest automobile manufacturer in the world ... government takeover of the healthcare system ... the expansion of police state surveillance control systems and tools ... the parallels are too similar to be missed.

Now, couple that with Obama's Secretary of Transportation espousing new policy geared toward non-motorized transportation, must I further spell it out for you? Or can you make the connection now, on your own?
