"Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW," he tweeted.
Shocking I tell you, Fox News and Palin spewing lies once again. Now that is credible news organization now ain't it?
Faux News' tacky response to the LL Cool J's objection to the use of an old interview (with someone other than Palin) and promoting it as if she's the interviewer:
“As it appears that Mr. Smith (LL Cool J's real last name) does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.”
Can Faux News be any tackier? They don't like the fact that this person does not want his celebrity to be deceptively used by Faux to promote Palin's show and I for one don't blame him. How dare this network call itself journalists.
ETA: Toby Keith takes issue with the same being done with one of his old interviews, as well.
I don't agree with Sarah Palin's politics, but LL Cool J is acting like a clown.
People in the public eye have a right to know where and how their previous interviews are to be aired. Faux News was heavily promoting this farce of a Palin show.
LL Cool J obviously was not informed that one of his old interviews (which he states is from 2008) would be used to promote Sarah Palin's new show (regardless of whether or not he agress with her politics) - neither was Toby Keith, by the way.
Faux News was falsely promoting these interviews as if Sarah Palin sat down with each individual and interviewed them. It is an entirely different thing for someone to "host" a show which has recycled old interviews and represent them as new. Typical Faux News deception.
Interesting that your post failed to mention that Toby Keith takes issue with the same being done with one of his old interviews.
If Faux News is commited to making Sarah Palin one of their on-air "personalities" why didn't they simply produce a show with celebrities that would have agreed to do an interview with Palin instead of taking the cheap/tacky shortcut of pulling a bunch of old interviews with celebrities done by other interviewers from years ago?
