I feel safer when law abiding people don't have guns.

Doesn't DC have some of the strictest gun control laws? Then how do criminals get such guns <sarcasm>?
Virginia gun swaps where there are no laws and no enforcement.

You would be mostly incorrect.
If you're talking about gun shows the laws are pretty standard nationally. Long guns may be bought by a state's resident in a private party transaction without filing the 4473 form if the seller has no reason to believe the buyer is otherwise forbidden to own a firearm. I could sell you a shotgun in my living room that way.

I always have to laugh when I see a story about one of thsoe radical gropus like thsoe arrested just the other day. When you read the details to see they are mostly wanntabes. But gangs are the most dangerous terror greoups in this coutnry and murder thousands each year.We reallt need to get a hold of the problem and do something about our border security. Dno't think that something like ios happening i mexicao can come here.

Yea yea, same old tired (and uninformed) argument that gang and cartel firepower is coming from swap meets and "unscrupulous gun shops'. Riddle me this, why would a banger or other such varmint choose to buy semi auto weapons when they can pick up the real deal from overseas smugglers? REAL AK's, UZI's, AUG's, and even US made stuff such as M4's A2's etc? Now, gys like me, who own LEGAL semi autos such as Ar's the dreaded AK in semi auto trim, M1A's and such, and use them for LEGAL pursuits, competition, target shooting, varmint hunting etc,are being arrested by the almighty police, for such violent crimes as not having the rifles seperated from the ammo in locked cases in seperate parts of the vehicle, while going to the range, while two blocks up a lowered SUV with spinner wheels , loaded with full auto carrying gang members heads off to a drive by. Who is it, again, that 'gun control laws' really impact? How many honest, decent folks, who just want to enjoy the shooting sports, are arrested and convicted for minor infractions, tieing up cops and courts, while the real bad guys operate with impunity and contempt for the law. GUN CONTROL LAWS ONLY EFFECT THE LAW ABIDING!! I don't know what part of this concept is so hard to understand.

It makes it more difficult to perpetrate crime against them doesn't it? Do you like easy victims?

Maybe you should put aside "feelings" and face reality?

But you have to be a Virginia resident to buy a gun in Virginia.

There are plenty of ways to get a gun in DC or MD without crossing into VA. Trust me on this.

No problem gangs in the DC area have homeys in NoVa as well as DC or Maryland. MS-13, the Crips and the Bloods are everywhere and the NoVa cliques can buy all the guns they want and fill orders from across the Potamac.
