FOXNews.com - 4 Killed, 6 Wounded in D.C. Drive-By Shootings
Doesn't DC have some of the strictest gun control laws? Then how do criminals get such guns <sarcasm>?

DC has its own "assault weapons ban" which bans AK's for the time being (a lawsuit is working its way through the system over it).

Not exactly. The Heller case allowed individuals to maintain certain types of handguns (mainly revolvers) in their residence as long it is either disassembled or locked away.

Long guns not owned prior to the 1970s and other firearms are still banned. At least for law abiding people.

As long as they're not obeying the law, sure!

That's why they're considered non-law abiding.
One thing I should have mentioned about hand gun ownership in DC is that the prospective owner has to go through an extensive background check, fingerprinting and multi-hour training.

As old as I am the obtuseness of the anti-gun contingent never ceases to amaze me.

Hope the don't visit Texas. Our neighbors in the drug cartels to the south have rocket launchers.

Dave, you do love a silly argument.

Yes, AK's are banned in D.C. but they aren't banned in Virginia and the last I checked the distance between the two was less than the range of a .22. So your attempt to argue that gun control doesn't work is a bit specious.
